This is the first dry dog food that my black lab mix has ever shoved his head in the container while I’m scooping it into his bowl. I noticed we was considerably less itchy when he was on this food than with others. I will keep buying this!

My dog is not a picky eater...she is food driven. She's almost ten years old and she's been on several different brands in the past. She will not eat this food. I have to add something I know she likes to it to get her to eat it. If I don't, that food will sit in her bowls for days. First time in almost ten years that I found food that is so bad that she refuses it...she acts like I'm punishing her.

I put my dogs on this about a year ago and at first they loved it. But in the last few weeks they only eat it I’m guessing when they are really hungry. Then about two weeks ago the bag smelled rancid. I had to switch dog food because my almost 13 year old has lost to much weight. The new food I got them they devoured it....

I wanted to switch my 9 yr old dog to this since she already loves the salmon and rice, but there's chicken in this one! Many dogs have a chicken allergy and you already have a 'chicken' version of this dog food so why put it in the salmon??

My pit ate the whole bowl I put down. She continues to eat this daily.

Started this dog food after my senior dog started to slow down. I have three huskies, they loved it but one gained 10 lbs and my girl gained 5lbs, in three months. So I have to rethink this. They were all very fit.

I spend a lot of time comparing the ingredients in my 15yr. old Standard Poodle's food. I was looking for an alternative to Avoderm that my dog had been eating for a long time. They dropped some of their recipes and all of a sudden Baby didn't want to eat it anymore. I checked out American Journey and took a chance on it and Baby loved it. He has tried all the recipes and loves them all ! ! And I Love Love Love CHEWY

Just when you think you might have FINALLY found a new senior formula food your older dog with allergies can eat, they have to go and cheapen it with chicken. Fresh salmon (the first ingredient) is ~75% water. By the time that's cooked down for the final product, there is exponentially more chicken and turkey in this food than salmon because those are added as pre-cooked meal that has had the moisture extracted before processing. I used to like American Journey and recommended them to friends with dogs with food allergies because they DIDN'T put a bunch of cheap fillers in their foods. With all these new lines, I won't be doing that anymore.

This is great food and well tolerated by my senior grey.

My boys are getting up there in years and not getting excited with their old food so I decided to try something new. They now wake me up at 5am and waiting for me at 5pm by the door. Very good sign they are happy thank you Chewy
