I wanted to try Chewy’s brand for Gabby & Gus and they love anything with a stew consistency I was expecting them to not like it especially Gus. But to my surprise they both love it! So I have this on my auto-ship for now. It’s definitely a hit I love how it comes with two different flavors in the case.
I make my dogs' food, so read the ingredients and reviews and thought ' ok a nice alternative' - the three dogs will NOT eat it - they lick off the gravy and leave the chunks of what - beef? (they eat the beef I give them) vegetables? (they eat the veggies I give them) So I don't know what this company has done to the flavor but it's not appealing. I will be giving two or three cans away at Christmas to my friends with dogs just to get rid of it.
I have a very very picky eater who’s caused me anxiety trying to find affordable food he’ll eat. Scored a hit with this brand. We will definitely be buying more.
Every time I open the can, it smells so good like human grade food. I have heard that dogs ate food by smelling not tasting so this is it!
I gave my 4 yr old standard goldendoodle this food and it has given him upset stomach. Tried twice and both had the same results. Not sure why.
Before I decided to change my girls from one food to another, I wanted to make sure that not only it was high quality with ingredients, but had both a wet/dry combo. American Journey was both of these things, and after deciding which formula would be best, I quickly began investigating variety options as well. AJ hits another bingo slot. And although this pack only serves two varieties, I appreciate it being of two commonly favored dog flavors. So many other brands were combining things like beef and fish. So far, my girls haven’t declined a meal yet! One had actually recently lost some weight, but AJ is quickly ((with proper portions)) stacking that back on! My one complaint if any is that the cans are sometimes either 1/4th gravy, or 3/4ths. I manage, but it can make dividing portions a bit tricky.
Poor little Riley only has three teeth left. And for two weeks I have to feed her soft food. This was one of my choices and she absolutely loves it. I hadn't planned on buying more than this, but she's doing so well on it I'm going to place more orders and have this be her meals for the next number of years
Food looks and smells good to me and one dog, but one smaller dog just won't eat it some days. Both 13 years old. Can't explain why.
