Love this specific canned food from AJ due to the fact that it is chicken-free. It is hard to find good quality canned food that is both affordable and chicken-free. Hope they keep it around for a long time and add some other chicken-free options.
Our old pit/Shepard mix loves this stuff. When we added 1/3 can to his evening meals I saw an increase in his energy and his good natured mood. We will continue buying this brand until our old boy leaves us. There is no photo because Marley gobbled it up too fast lol. He is light skinned and doesn't do well with grains so this combo is great for him.
This isn't loaf form food, it is sloppy like soup, price control dictates adding extra water "broth" and raising the price to 3.09 a pound, do the math! And what happened to all the old reviews? Why were they taken down?... I chatted with a representative of the company and he told me that I could keep half the case to make YouTube videos.....so others can see the quality of the food! Things that make you go hmmm.... What? Emojis not allowed....
My dogs seemed bored with their food so I decided to try American Journey due to the good reviews and price. The Premium Loaf was an immediate hit with all four dogs. They love the other flavors also.
I'm very impressed as are our two dogs. One of them is not easy to impress and the other will eat most anything :) So my barometer is always our picky eater. I wanted to try this food as it is a chewy.com brand, had healthy ingredients plus grain. Our vet tells us she feels it's best for dogs to actually have grain and not eat grain free. I love that it's manufactured in the US. I was concerned with it being a loaf that it would be stiff, but it's the opposite. It has great moisture and is a little loose in consistency which I know appeals to our dogs. It looks very good as you can see the veges mixed in. A great chewy.com product. I always worry about digestive upset when switching foods so we do it gradually and also use daily an organic probiotic we buy on chewy.com which is fantastic (made by Fera) and we haven't had any digestive upset with food change or even if they are an antibiotics after a dental, for example. The organic probiotic is fantastic, too!
the dog likes it but it is too expensive so we will be trying the grocery again
I've gotten the Turkey plenty of times and my dog(s) love it. It's not pasty like some of the others. The Beef is horrible and also gave my girl soft poop. Too much fat in the Beef choice.
I can't say personally, but my Dog Tanner a senior and getting picky about what he eats can't wait to dig into this food!!!! I recommend this especially if you have a fussy pup!
I mix this with their dry food. It has a fresh smell and is made with great ingredients.
Got canned food to start supplementing my 12 year old's diet cause his teeth have seen better days. This seems like the best canned food he's tried. Absolutely loves it and he doesn't always go for kibble at meal times nowadays. You can see the carrots and other veggies. Definitely recommend.
