Orthopedic crate mat
I bought this to use as a floor mat for my Puggle who is almost 13. He loves to cool his tummy on the tile floor but then gets stiff and needed a soft spot to nap on. He was on this mat as soon as it was unpacked! It works great and is very comfortable for him. Can be moved around easily. And he shares it some with my one year old grandson and with his Chihuahua sister!
Cheap zipper
My owner bought this for me a year ago. Recently they took the cover off of was it and when putting it back on the zipper pulled apart. I think they will look for something better for me.
Do not buy!
I thought this was promising because it has the AKC name on it. It is garbage. The zipper broke within an hour of using it. Save your money and buy something else. This is terrible. On the flip side, chewy refunded it and they are the best at customer service!
AKC Orthopedic Mat
My 15 year old Beagle seems to be appreciating this new cushy mat. My only, but somewhat significant complaint is how the manufacturer attached the various tags on the item. It was near impossible to cut the little plastic piece that held the tags on. I wanted to get all of the plastic out of the mat so it wouldn't poke my dog and i actually ended up inadvertantly creating a few holes in the pad just to get all of the plastic out!! There must be a better way to attach tags!!!
Human hates, dog likes
My dog liked this bed a lot but I do not. The zipper broke the first time I washed the cover. The inside is not machine-wasable. The inside got all torn up from her digging (although the cover was fine).
Cover not strong
I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. My puppy chewed holes in the bottom within hours of receiving the bed. There must be something in the memory foam that she's determined to get to
zipper poor quality
zipper lasted 60 days not very well made! Liner does not hold up as zipper separates and unable to cover foam pad.
AKC orthopedic bed did not hold up
This bed was purchased for a dog <20lbs. The fabric covering this bed did not hold up at all. Three months later is ready for the garbage. Do not recommend.
Don't buy this one
I ordered this dog bed because of the AKC endorsement. What a disappointment! My puppy scratched a hole in the cover within an hour of taking it out of the box. And the foam insert is made of chunks of foam glued together, so every time I take the cover off to wash it, pieces of the foam fall off all over the floor or stick to the cover and have to be picked off. Don't waste your money on this one.
Dont by this bed
the bedding part lasted 4 weeks before it turned into very small pieces of foam. not very durable for a large dog
