Does this unzip to wash cover

This crate mat is made of ultra-plush and supportive orthopedic foam.
Our dog threw up on the bed and it soaked through the exterior cover and I to the cushion part. Is the foam cushing inside the cover machine washable as well?

Although the interior foam isn't machine washable, it would be best to hand wash it with dish soap and warm water and then let it air dry.

AKC Orthopedic Mat

My 15 year old Beagle seems to be appreciating this new cushy mat. My only, but somewhat significant complaint is how the manufacturer attached the various tags on the item. It was near impossible to cut the little plastic piece that held the tags on. I wanted to get all of the plastic out of the mat so it wouldn't poke my dog and i actually ended up inadvertantly creating a few holes in the pad just to get all of the plastic out!! There must be a better way to attach tags!!!

Cover not strong

I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. My puppy chewed holes in the bottom within hours of receiving the bed. There must be something in the memory foam that she's determined to get to

AKC orthopedic bed did not hold up

This bed was purchased for a dog <20lbs. The fabric covering this bed did not hold up at all. Three months later is ready for the garbage. Do not recommend.

Don't buy this one

I ordered this dog bed because of the AKC endorsement. What a disappointment! My puppy scratched a hole in the cover within an hour of taking it out of the box. And the foam insert is made of chunks of foam glued together, so every time I take the cover off to wash it, pieces of the foam fall off all over the floor or stick to the cover and have to be picked off. Don't waste your money on this one.

Dont by this bed

the bedding part lasted 4 weeks before it turned into very small pieces of foam. not very durable for a large dog

Ver nice bed but NOT for chewers

I really liked the bed but unfortunately my dog destroyed it on day three. I recognize it was my bad and I shouldn t have bought this type of bed.

didn’t make it through night one

Even when inside the case, the mat can be easily chewed and destroyed with a few bites. She never got through the case, but the bed is in chunks. Didn’t make it through night one with my puppy. Do not recommend for puppies. Went back to the bed she had in there before and no issues. Maybe it has a chewy smell?

Poor Quality

I have been a very happy and loyal customer of Chewy and extremely happy with the products and supplies I have purchased. Though I feel I have to convey my most disappointing review of this product. Within 24 hours my bassets destroyed these mats,Both the material-covering and foam . This product was not cheap by any means. But not strong enough for dog use. The foam was easily shredded and could cause a choking hazard. And should never be advertised as a crate mat. I did not even want to rate it a one star.

Was great until the zipper broke

I bought this item in September 2021. I liked it because I can fit two horizontally in a Frisco XL dog crate and then I can wash them in my washer (versus an extra large washer at the laundromat). I did remove the covers recently to wash them. My dog has been gentle with these (she only lays on them). When re-inserting the memory foam and zipping it back up, the zipper came off in my hand. It has been staying on, even without being zipped up. However, it's frustrating that I maybe only unzipped it about four times and it broke! I can't buy a replacement cover, which would be ideal since the foam is in really great shape.

Ripped apart

My dog had this crate mat ripped apart in no time & completely destroyed in 6 weeks time. Disappointed.
