Nice quality but is it machine washable?

Our pup loves this bed and we do too. It's a stylish gray fabric (though it's already got tufts showing) and the fleece in the middle is cozy. My one complaint is that it's listed as machine washable, but the tag says spot clean only. I'm assuming the manufacturer's tag is more accurate than the online listing, and it's a bummer because machine washable was one of my criteria.

love it! - but should have read the Q&A section. This bed says machine washable. And i assumed that meant there was a slip cover for the bed. Theres not. I dont have a washer and dryer big enough for this bed. Thats the ONLY downside. — My pup loves it!
