Description

When it comes to housetraining, American Kennel Club’s Dog Training Pads help ease the process by giving your pup a place to relieve himself. The antibacterial pads have a built-in attractant to help encourage your canine companion to use the pad instead of your rug, bed or other furniture in your home. They are highly absorbent with six layers of protection and the quick-drying gel helps eliminate leaks, tracking, and foul odors. In addition to house training puppies, these pads are just as paw-fect for older dogs who may need to stay indoors for an extended period of time. Best of all, they are easy to clean up and come in two counts to suit your needs.

Key Benefits
  • Perfect for housetraining puppies or helping to prevent accidents in older dogs.
  • Built-in attractant helps stop your dog from defaulting to rugs, couches, beds and other areas in your home when nature calls.
  • The antibacterial, highly absorbent pads have 6 layers to help stop leaks, tracking, and odors.
  • Fast-drying gel helps stop tracking and locks in moisture.
  • Use them in your car, to line crates and carriers, or to dry wet paws!

Instructions

Training Pads are ideal for puppies and dogs that stay indoors for long periods of time. What you should do; Unfold the training pad and place it in a confined area. (Blue plastic side down). It is important to place your puppy or dog on the training pad several times a day in order to get him used it. on the average, a puppy must relieve himself every few hours, based on his age (a 2 month old puppy every 2 hours, a 3 month old every hours etc). If your pet relieves himself somewhere other than the designated spot where the pad is placed, bring him back to the correct spot immediately. Keep in mind that your pet will have to relive himself shortly after a meal and will need to eliminate more frequently during the summer when his water intake is higher. The minute your dog begins to relieve himself on the pad, be sure to use cures like “go potty”. You should use this cue every time that your dog relives himself on the pad so that he associates the phrase with the action of elimination. Every time that your pet used the pad successfully, make sure that you give him a treat and lots of praise. Treating helps your dog to understand that he is doing what you want him to do. Always remember to dispose of soiled pads and replace them as needed. When your pet begins to relieve himself on the pads, on consistent basic, it is time to begin moving the pad closer to the door. Keep moving the pads closer to the door until they are actually outside. At this time, the training process will be complete.

    I am pleased with them

By Hanson on Aug 1, 2021

I read the reviews and tried them anyway. I have 4 smaller dogs and they use these from time to time day and night. I found the size perfect to handle 4 small dogs. I found these pads did not leak through like others stated so that is confusing. I loved them to be honest and am placing a reorder today.

    ehhh not good

By capeescape on Jul 7, 2021

I like the size. I do not like that they leak right through. Gross. For use on a pad holder or crate tray only. I thought pads were supposed to keep us from having to clean up a mess. I guess they never got the memo.

By Susy on Aug 17, 2021

Very happy with the product. They don’t leak through like the other brands. They are a bit stronger then the other pads as well.

    Large enough to work

By DogMom on Sep 5, 2021

Only two needed for the playpen. Usually have to use 6 of the smaller size. And they absorbed great.

The pads should be able to hold more if you have two or more dogs.

    bad idea to purchase

By pottypads on Apr 2, 2021

These pads were too thin and didn't absorb very well. My handicapped dog could not get off the pad and had to be lifted off of it or he would drag the pad behind him.

    Unhappy Customer

By TalksWithBirds on Apr 4, 2021

These are paper thin. I cut one open and there are 3 layers, not 6. I dropped a quarter of a teaspoon of water on one and it went right through. Not happy.
