Not an ideal blanket

We purchased this blanket for our dog and he has essentially torn it to bits. I suppose there are some dogs who wouldn't have this inclination but for ours, between his paws and his jaws this blanket didn't stand a chance. I wish we had purchased something sturdier that would last and hold up to daily use from a dog.

When we brought our American Eskimo puppy home (4 years ago), we somehow got swindled into this "AKC package" when we registered our puppy. For the low, low price of $300, we got 2 of these blankets with his name embroidered on it. AKC essentially charged us $125 per item -or $25 per letter- to put his name on a $25 throw. Good times! On another note, these are very cozy blankets.

I have 3 of these, in bedroom, living area, kitchen. My 7 year old (9lb) Min Pin loves it. Curls up (pulls it over his head) and GONE. Price and quality great. Washes well with no shrinkage or fading. Soft without using softener.
