    Stopped working after 1.5yr

By bearmom on Mar 10, 2021

I purchased this item in August 2019. I might have groomed my 55lb doodle 6-8 times in this time frame with these clippers. When I first got it , it worked great. Today, my husband was clipping my doodle and after about 2 hours it just shut off and stopped working. Thought it would cool off and we could plug it in and it might work, nope. I'll reach out to andis to see what they can do, but for this price point I'm extremely disappointed in this purchase. I feel like a Wahl or other cheaper brand would have worked better....

    Nice clipper

By Evan on Mar 3, 2021

It is fairly quiet. I used the high speed and a 4FC blade. I went slow so needed to stop to allow the blade to cool. A little hard to change blades but probably just a learning curve.

    Very disappointed!!!

By AmyS on Jul 22, 2020

These clippers got hot quickly, were heavy and stopped cutting after 3 uses. I won't buy Andis again.

    These get WAY too hot

By Melissa on Apr 11, 2020

I am sure they are sharp and I am sure with guards on that they work great. I however have a poodle that needs her face and paws shaved. It literally gets hot to touch within 2-3 minutes of it being on. Very frustrating.

    Expected more

By marn on Jan 31, 2020

The #10 blade seems dull. Did not expect this For the price. My dog has straight long hair, With no mats. A cheap when I had cut better, and I was trying to improve. Could this have been returned item without replacing the blade? I hope there’s a simple answer because this is not cutting at a good quality. Hard to know if it’s the blade or the shavers power itself. A little heavy for my hands. I want to order an extra blade to achieve a longer cut, But not sure what to do. Can chewy replace the blade to see if it was defective or should I return the whole shaver ...

    Works AWESOME!

By Ladyofthelake on Jan 15, 2020

Got this to cut my Maltese/shitzhu. You have to use it on high speed to get the best results. Also go very slow and keep stopping to remove any hair build up on the blade. I just blow it off! It’s nice and quiet. Just watch a YouTube video on how to do it and don’t be afraid to try. The hair will grown back if you screw it up anyway! I stopped every few minutes to give my baby a break and to let the blade cool off. They do get kind of hot and the spray you can purchase helps but isn’t really necessary. Also in two uses it will have paid for itself! That’s great considering my dog needs a haircut about every 6 to 8 weeks. He actually enjoyed my doing it so much that every morning he jumps up Got this to cut my Maltese/shitzhu. You have to use it on high speed to get the best results. I’m EXTREMELY pleased with my purchase and learning how to do this for my pet as no more stress going to the groomers! … more

    Excellent clippers

By LaRon on Mar 10, 2020

I had another pair of andis clippers that lasted for years so when they went out I went looking for another pair. They were much cheaper at chewy then anywhere else and they only took 3 days to get here.
