Keep your cool during grooming sessions with the AGC2 2-Speed Detachable Blade Clipper from Andis. This super-duty clipper was designed to work on all fur and coat types, with one UltraEdge blade included. This makes it an excellent option for pet parents with multiple furry friends, especially when those friends each have a different coat type! It offers two speeds—2,700 or 3,400 strokes per minute—and has an easy on/off lock to ensure your furbaby is safe during shavings. Best of all, this removable blade system offers a variety of length options and works with all UltraEdge and CeramicEdge blades. It's the versatile system you've been waiting for!

Key Benefits

  • 2-speed sealed rotary motor runs cool and has all the power you need to get through the thickest of hair.
  • Features a 14-ft heavy-duty cord so you can move around as you need to.
  • A locking switch ensures that the clipper won't shut off during use.
  • Works with all UltraEdge, CeramicEdge and ShowEdge blades—plus, it's also compatible with Oster A-5 blades.

Instructions

Grooming Prep: Make sure your pet is healthy and ready for grooming! Before any clipping or trimming is started, your pet must be bathed, dried and brushed. This will ensure both you and your pet have a happy grooming experience and you will get the best results out of your Andis clipper or trimmer.

Tip: For pets new to grooming with a clipper or trimmer, gently get them used to the noise of the tool with it turned on but not touching the pet. Once they are used to the noise, gently lay it against the pet with the blade pointing up and not cutting anything; you can also slowly rub it against their body or face. Eventually your pet will get used to the new grooming tool and both you and your pet will have an enjoyable grooming experience.

Basic Maintenance of your Andis Clippers & Trimmers: 1. Turn off the tool. Clean out loose debris with a blade brush.

  1. Turn the tool on. Use Andis Cool Care Plus® spray to clean and cool the blade. Turn off the tool and wipe off excess residue.

  2. Turn on the tool and apply 5 drops of Andis Blade Oil to the blade: Place 3 drops across the front teeth and 1 drop at each inside rear corner of the blade. Slightly tilt the clipper or trimmer to the side, allowing the oil to run off onto a towel. Run the clipper for approximately 10 seconds, then turn it off and wipe off any remaining oil.

Note – If you continue to notice a decrease in performance after cleaning and oiling, please consult your Andis use & care manual.

    Andis AGC2 - 2 Speed Clippers !

    By on

I love these clippers !!! Nice and quiet. I was mostly worried the noise would scare my dog but no problems here. I asked a groomer friend of mine which clippers to buy and this was one of the 2 Andis brands she recommended based on my dogs coat. These cut through his thick hair just fine as long as we used the cooling spray. (She says she uses it with all of the clippers) A good buy and this one is about 70.00 less then the other Andis Clipper.

    DIY Dog Grooming

    By on

I'm very happy with this clippers as my 1st attempt at grooming our shih tzu/chin at home. His hair grows so thick and fast, that I just couldn't bring myself to spend another $50 at the groomers (every 2 months). This clippers is a bit on the heavy side (cuz being 2-speed I think), but I only have 1 dog, and feel it is of good quality for the price (so it's ok). The only reason I gave 4 vs 5 stars is the directions are a bit sparse and not that great. So I spent a lot of time watching videos on how to change the blades, cleaning, and just generally how to shave/groom dogs. Also, I realized after my first attempt, that there's a whole lot more to grooming than may first appear...but then again I'm very happy with this clippers as my 1st attempt at grooming our shih tzu/chin at home. Andis AGC2 Clippers

    By on

I bought these clippers after reading a lot of reviews. Several which said they would shave a long haired cat. The clippers do have some weight to it so long clipping sessions can get tiresome. They do get Hot as mentioned so buy cooling spray. It does have 2 speeds, but it doesn't feel like there's a big difference between the two. Ultimately they weren't really strong enough for our annual summer shave of our cat especially in the areas where she had some matting. So if you have a long haired cat that has matting issues I would say you need to go with a more expensive hire speed model. Also the noise wasn't too bad and it didn't seem to scare her.

Shaved down my 60 lb lab/chow/black bear mix

    By on

I really liked these clippers. I worked for a vet for many years and often used clippers there-these feel and operate like high-quality clippers. My dog’s coat is SUPER dense, and these did very well. I did order a second #10 blade and would swap blades every time one got hot. I’d spray the clippers with 5-in-1 clipper spray and set the blade aside to cool, and pop the resting blade in. This allowed me to fully shave my bear in 2 hours and worked very well. Definitely buy a second blade!!! Best advice ever! And clip with the hair growth, not against it!

    Totally Worthless

    By on

These clippers did NOT cut my dog's hair at all! I bought these to save $ and in the end, I have clippers that won't cut hair and was extremely HOT after 5 minutes of trying to cut hair, therefore I ended up having to take my dog to the groomers and spent $80. So between the purchase of these clippers and the cost of his hair cut, I am out $208. Do not waste your $$!

    Great clippers!

    By on

These worked very well on my Maltipoo. I was tired of paying so much for grooming since she just gets a plain puppy cut. These went right through her thick fur. I can’t speak to them getting hot as I use comb attachments, but they are very quiet. I’m really happy with my purchase.

Surprisingly quiet in comparison to may old Oster clippers. Did not get hot to touch. Seems like a winner!

    Great clipper and FAST SERVICE

    By on

After a great deal of research and ordering on another website for local pick-up (order could not be fullfilled), I ordered from Chewy. The clippers work just as I expected and arrived (free shipping for this amount of $) in less than 24 hours (to our rural area). I love CHEWY!
