I have two Coton de Tulears who become matted regularly particularly behind their ears. This tool works really well and is so sharp that there is very little pulling.
This little tool is a great way to cut through mats on my dog without hurting her
This is a really good quality tool and it cuts through my cat's mats very well. It shreads the fur.
Works on small mats but not on large ones.
Well, I do. Thankfully I had bought the initial dematting comb from Chewy a while back, so getting a replacement was as easy as going to "Buy it again" and clicking a button. I can't be without this tool. My Brittany Spaniel has cottony fur that mats so easily. And now it's cocklebur season, so every time she goes outside she comes back with several burrs tangled in her ears and feathers. She's quite the diva and screams if you try to get them out with a comb. This dematting comb gets the burrs and knots out without tugging on her fur or skin, and she'll sit quietly to have them removed. Yay!
I have a long-haired cat for the first time (always had short-haired). He had a lot of matted fur and I didn't know what to do about it. I ordered this and am amazed at how easy and painless it is to remove the matted fur with this. Just comb the matted fur over and over and eventually it just falls right out. So thankful I found this!
