Instructions

Grooming Prep: Make sure your pet is healthy and ready for grooming! Before any clipping or trimming is started, your pet must be bathed, dried and brushed. This will ensure both you and your pet have a happy grooming experience and you will get the best results out of your Andis clipper or trimmer.

Tip: For pets new to grooming with a clipper or trimmer, gently get them used to the noise of the tool with it turned on but not touching the pet. Once they are used to the noise, gently lay it against the pet with the blade pointing up and not cutting anything; you can also slowly rub it against their body or face. Eventually your pet will get used to the new grooming tool and both you and your pet will have an enjoyable grooming experience.

Basic Maintenance of your Andis Clippers & Trimmers: 1. Turn off the tool. Clean out loose debris with a blade brush.

  1. Turn the tool on. Use Andis Cool Care Plus® spray to clean and cool the blade. Turn off the tool and wipe off excess residue.

  2. Turn on the tool and apply 5 drops of Andis Blade Oil to the blade: Place 3 drops across the front teeth and 1 drop at each inside rear corner of the blade. Slightly tilt the clipper or trimmer to the side, allowing the oil to run off onto a towel. Run the clipper for approximately 10 seconds, then turn it off and wipe off any remaining oil.

Note – If you continue to notice a decrease in performance after cleaning and oiling, please consult your Andis use & care manual.

    Works well enough

    By on

I used it with the attachments at first but none of Little Bear's fur was coming off. It worked really well without the attachment but I cut too much of his fur off. I guess there will be some trial and error before I get it right.

    Was Not Pleased

    By on

I purchased these for at home use on one dog who is short haired but mixed with terrier. He weighs 39 lbs and has some wirey white hair that on his back and needs his face and underside trimmed and cleaned up. He does not have thick fur. During the first and use with these clippers, they became loud as though the motor was clogged or maybe overheated. I took them apart which required a screwdriver, and no hair could get inside. Perhaps they were faulty but they are in a drawer, unable to use and a waste of money.

Worked perfect for my long haired cat

    By on

I am not a groomer and bought this wondering if it would work for my cat! She gets matted in the spring when she looses her winter coat! It was wonderful to get those mats out and the attachments work well to cut the long hair too! She is happy and so am I!

EXCELLENT clippers. Both Yorkies were done in no time. It paid for itself. This was my first time cutting them myself and I was so pleased. They're ready for the beach. Highly recommend!!

Bought this medium duty shaver to groom our cocker spaniel's head - face - ears - chin. It worked great. She did not mind the noise level and got a good haircut. Worked great!

    Works Perfectly

    By on

Just wanted a small inexpensive grooming aid for my King Charles. She needs her ears clipped every once in awhile. ..the fur tends to get food in it. She is getting up in age. Works fine for my needs, ears and sometimes feet. Relatively quiet, easy to handle, light weight.

    Great for the price!

I have a very, very old cat with short, but incredibly thick hair. She doesn't groom herself much anymore so I gave her bath. Unfortunately this caused her fur to become incredibly matted. This did a good job of trimming her mats with lots of patience & breaks in between. Given the price of the clippers, I was very pleased.
