Heavy use for over 7 years

By Catgirl on Mar 29, 2021

Bought these seven years ago. Been clipping 3 poms, two yorkies, and a Norwegian Forest cat about every 3 weeks. I use ceramic blades to keep things from getting hot. I clean hair out and oil parts after each use, and have had no problems other than I cant get the plastic blade protectors to work Bought these seven years ago. I am very happy with my Andis. … more

    Really crappy :(

By Havamom on Dec 2, 2020

I have a havanese. I bought these because a groomer recommended the brand. I didn’t like them but thought it was just my lack of experience with clippers. I was refunded for them and then tried them again because I had not replaced them yet and thought that maybe they weren’t so bad. I called and I have a havanese. I called and told them to charge me for them again that I was going to keep them and am honest. My mom gave me a cheap pair of Oster ($20) and they are SO much better than these. I keep trying to use these but always end up using the other ones instead because these are not doing the job. It takes forever to cut the hair with these. I was not about to call again for a refund but figured I’d tell others so they can save themselves the trouble and money. … more

    Andis clippers

    By on

I like the clipper, but the cord is too short. It needs to be about 2 more feet.

Great clippers for at home grooming

    By on

I have an old Andis clipper (about 20 years old) for short haired breeds so decided to stay with them. We now have a Wheaten Terrier mix with long, fine, thick fur with some curl. These clippers work great. Quiet, smooth cut. Have not had the blades overheat once. If you bath, get out all the mats, and dry their fur before clipping it is a breeze She has had several cuts with these, about once a month, since June of 2020. Love them and highly recommend!

Andis Clippers - Do Not Work

I have purchased and used Andis for years and this if the first time I have had horrid luck. The clipper blades slip and the motor shuts down. Very unsatisfied with with this product. I am going to contact Andis directly.

    loud grabby things

    By on

Very loud, very grabby, at least I didn't use this on an animal. I got to use it three times till it stopped working. the track record is pathetic. it would make noises while pugged in and off, occasionally it would work well, but then back to the grabbing of fur vs actual cutting. Maybe I got dull blades, right out of the box. I oiled it and kept it maintained and yet that did nothing. it doesn't start now or when it does it dies. to be honest rather have bought another cheaper set, at least I wouldn't be so bummed out by wasting money on 'name brand amazing clippers' that couldn't even shave well.

    So disappointed

    By on

Years ago I used to clip my Scotties, and since life has slowed down I thought I’d do it again. These weren’t the most expensive nor the cheapest. The case looked nice. The closer clipping guard wouldn’t fit on the clipper. Three of us tried. The other longer guards all did. Then they didn’t cut well. I took the guard off and it still didn’t cut well. So I scissor cut thinking maybe the hair was too long and thick. Nope. I had washed the first dog before clipping. Tried the clippers on the second before clipping. Worse. I ended scissor cutting both which needless to say took longer and didn’t look as nice. The only positive is my dogs are remarkably patient! Will return.

    USELESS! HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!

    By on

We bought this to use on our Havanese we just adopted.Having a Shihtzu for years we knew our Havanese would be even more of a challenge to groom.Owning other Andis products, and never having a problem with them and factoring in the price of this machine, we figured it would work great on her. We're we wrong ,it does absolutely NOTHING.BEWARE DO NOT BUY!

    Bummer only lasted 7 months

    By on

Worked great! but only lasted for 7 months with once a month grooming on an irish setter. It was quiet and did not seem to overheat and was lightweight.
