    Worked well on my dogs

In order to use the attachments the dogs must be completely mat free or they won't go through the hair. Maybe that is why some people are having a problem using them. … more

    So disappointed!

By Shawn on Aug 30, 2019

Even though I didnt have a lot to spend, I did want to get a decent pair and viewed it as an investment. So when I received the clippers in the mail, I was eager to get started. Got my girls bathed, and dried.. and so excited to use my new clippers. #1 the comb attachments, even on a fully brushed dog, are pointless! It just jams everything up. It was hard to get through and cut even without the attachments. I also expected them not to get as warm as they did, I had to stop and let them rest. All in all. For $80 clippers, they completely fall short on all fronts and I expected so much more. … more

    Not worth the money

    By on

These clippers aren’t worth the money. I would recommend spending a little more for higher quality clippers if you have a “doodle” or poodle mix. My dog is combed and brushed daily. She doesn’t have any mats and these clippers cannot get through her curly hair.

    2.5 uses before they died

    By on

This is my second pair of these. The first I only got 3-4 uses out of before the motor went out. I though maybe it was a fluke and decided to take a chance on a second pair. They died during the third use. This is supposedly a good brand but this particular set does not perform well. I have two miniature schnauzers. Chewy is awesome but this product misses the mark.

    Andis Pro-Animal Clipper

    By on

No, I did not like this product. It does not perform well with attachments or without. I'm not sure if there wasn't enough power or what. Our Ru did not have long hair and it would not even pass through the first couple inches of a pass with out stopping and clearing the blade.

Clippers not what I needed as far as performance. I have two woolly huskies and the clippers did not do the job

    Disappointed

    By on

I really hate to leave another bad review, especially here at chewy. They are such an awesome company. I was so disappointed in this clipper. It had good reviews and I thought I made a good decision. It did not trim my schnauzer well. It overheated in minutes. It took three breaks for me to trim her. She wasn't even grown out that bad either. I was so afraid of burning her. I will not use these again.

    Clipper Issue

    By on

This clipper set worked great the first time I used it. I pulled it out to use again for the second time, just a few days ago, and it did not seem to work as well as the first time. The blade seemed more dull, and the clipper did not seem to be as powerful as the first time, plus it made a lot of noise. I was using this clipper for our Shih Tzu. This new clipper does not seem to be the same quality as the first clipper I purchased 10+ years ago and it is exactly the same clipper as the first one purchased. I am disappointed in the quality of this clipper, and have to wonder if it was a re-furbished clipper.

Great the first time, now it doesn't work at all on our Schnauzers hair!

    By on

No longer can get through his hair. The first cut worked great. Haven't had to pull it out all winter, but now we were giving him his summer cut and its near impossible. Such a bummer, wish I knew it was going to be a one hit wonder closer to when I bought it several months ago so I could return it.

Not very good for Shih Poo hair..

    By on

I got this based on the great reviews and it says to be for med thick haired dogs. My Shih poo has more poodle like hair but it's not even thick. The clippers wouldn't cut through his hair with ANY of the guards on except the #1 So my poor baby got a summer cut middle of winter just to get the clippers to actually cut his hair and I had to take the guard off all together for it to cut his legs. Disappointed in that. Other than that they seem nice quality for dogs with thin thin and already short hair.

I am deciding whether to send this clipper back. I am having a hard time gettin a close shave on my Lhasa. I am a hairstylist and and very familiar with clippers. Not up my standards.

    Not for fine thick fur.

    By on

I used this on my poodle/shih tzu mix dog who has very thick fine hair. I only wanted to trim about a 1/2 in. off, but it didn't cut at all, so I had to use the number 2 & sometimes number 1 attachment in order to get it to cut at all. Even then I had to go over him several times in order to get a halfway even trim, and that made his fur pretty short for a winter haircut. I would not recommend these for fine, thick hair.
