Keep your cool during grooming sessions with the AGC2 2-Speed Detachable Blade Clipper from Andis. This super-duty clipper was designed to work on all fur and coat types, with one UltraEdge blade included. This makes it an excellent option for pet parents with multiple furry friends, especially when those friends each have a different coat type! It offers two speeds—2,700 or 3,400 strokes per minute—and has an easy on/off lock to ensure your furbaby is safe during shavings. Best of all, this removable blade system offers a variety of length options and works with all UltraEdge and CeramicEdge blades. It's the versatile system you've been waiting for!

Key Benefits
  • Detachable blades and removable drive cap make cleaning a breeze while the locking blade hinge keeps it secure.
  • 2-speed sealed rotary motor runs cool and has all the power you need to get through the thickest of hair.
  • Features a 14-inch heavy-duty cord so you can move around as you need to.
  • A locking switch ensures that the clipper won't shut off during use.
  • Works with all UltraEdge, CeramicEdge and ShowEdge blades—plus, it's also compatible with Oster A-5 blades.
What's Included

Clipper with #10 UltraEdge blade, tube of blade oil, extra blade drive.

Instructions

Grooming Prep: Make sure your pet is healthy and ready for grooming! Before any clipping or trimming is started, your pet must be bathed, dried and brushed. This will ensure both you and your pet have a happy grooming experience and you will get the best results out of your Andis clipper or trimmer.

Tip: For pets new to grooming with a clipper or trimmer, gently get them used to the noise of the tool with it turned on but not touching the pet. Once they are used to the noise, gently lay it against the pet with the blade pointing up and not cutting anything; you can also slowly rub it against their body or face. Eventually your pet will get used to the new grooming tool and both you and your pet will have an enjoyable grooming experience.

Basic Maintenance of your Andis Clippers & Trimmers: 1. Turn off the tool. Clean out loose debris with a blade brush.

  1. Turn the tool on. Use Andis Cool Care Plus® spray to clean and cool the blade. Turn off the tool and wipe off excess residue.

  2. Turn on the tool and apply 5 drops of Andis Blade Oil to the blade: Place 3 drops across the front teeth and 1 drop at each inside rear corner of the blade. Slightly tilt the clipper or trimmer to the side, allowing the oil to run off onto a towel. Run the clipper for approximately 10 seconds, then turn it off and wipe off any remaining oil.

Note – If you continue to notice a decrease in performance after cleaning and oiling, please consult your Andis use & care manual.

Instead of always running my Bichon to the groomers, I wanted to try and clip him myself. I bought the Andis AGC2 and am very pleased with it. I purchased the 8 piece chrome comb set to go with it. I am inexperienced but for the first time everything turned out fine. The clipper cuts through fur like butter. Very nice/great purchase!!

  • So far so good

Just getting back into grooming after many years and took the advice from my co-worker, who's been grooming for 38 years, to go with the Andis clipper. It feels a bit heavy but not uncomfortable. It does seem to heat up pretty fast so make sure to have the cooling spray handy. Oh, and shipping was super fast!!

  • Not all they say

I bought this clipper because of all they said it would do. I have a doodle with curly hair. This thing would not cut thru his hair. It combed it but not cut. I bought a new blade and changed the device inside and it works better. Still not fast. 2.5 hours to trim four legs and chest.

  • First Time Ever

I bought these to save me some money from having to have standard poodle groomed 5-6 times a year. I always get her the sport cut (completely shaved) whiched seemed to be a easy cut. Although I have only used it the one time, I am very happy with my purchase. No it doesn't look as good as when the groomer does it, but it is good enough for me, and as time goes on I will get better.

  • Don’t hesitate!

This was recommended to me by a Labradoodle owner. My Goldendoodle has thick & curly hair like wool. I was a little hesitant about the purchase. As many have stated, they truly do cut as if slicing through butter. They do heat up a bit after a while, but I took that time for a treat break for the Doodle, which he came to look for. My dog is 5-years old & I could have taken on this task a lot sooner. Don’t hesitate; you won’t be disappointed with these clippers! ~ Michele; NC.

  • Wonderful!

It can be difficult when reading reviews to make the decision right for oneself. I made the right decision with this. The discount provided for a much higher quality than I could get anywhere else. I have Maltese and one has a difficult coat that I have to keep short. This took the fur right off before she could get antsy. Very glad I chose this product.

  • Like a hot knife through butter

My wife and I have an Airedale puppy -- our first dog together -- and are realizing the cost of a dog can mount up quickly. One way I figured we could save money is by grooming Rory boy ourselves. My old Wahl clippers weren't cutting it (no pun intended), so I decided to go big with these high-end Andis clippers. I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase -- these cut through Rory's thick coat like a hot knife through butter. My wife wasn't thrilled with the price (she's cheap) but I explained the amazing pricing from Chewy relative to the competition, and that these clippers would pay for themselves after just two uses. • These clippers are 5 Star!

I had been clipping my almost two year old Standard Poodle with scissors or taking him to a groomer every few months. I decided to try clipping him myself and I’m so pleased with the Andis AGC2. I purchased a second set of ceramic 10 blades and switched blades frequently. It took less than an hour and Oliver was so happy to lose the thick curls. This was my first time clipping a dog myself and after watching a few videos on YouTube I felt confident to begin. We live on a farm so I wanted to trim him very close to prevent tangles from briars. Again I’m very pleased with the ease of use with the AGC2, and Oliver is more than pleased with his hair cut!

  • This cut like a hot knife going through butter

We needed a new clipper. We were told to try this brand. I needed to trim my Nigerian dwarf goat that has super thick fur and our weather was getting close to 100 degrees so I needed to do something. Omg this “DID NOT” even get hot like some were saying. Quiet enough it didn’t even freak out my goats. I would recommend these 100%
