Does Animal Essentials Liver Defense Support have to be refrigerated after opening?

No refrigeration is required for this supplement, it can remain shelf stable at room temperature 3 years after the date of manufacture.
Is this dandelion leaf?

This supplement contains extracts of certified organic dandelion root and leaf.
Does the dropper have measuring info on it?

The dropper holds up to 1 milliliter, which is 20 drops. Half of the dropper measures to 1⁄2 milliliter, or 10 drops. A ​quarter milliliter is 5 drops.
Does this interact with perscription thyroid medicine?

My mistake it has alcohol

I saw glycerin in the first line and missed that it had alcohol. So I did not give it to my cats. It may be a great product but I will never know because of the alcohol.

Think it's helpful!!

My senior pibble with front leg and feet deformities has severe arthritis. We're taking Gabapentin and Carprovet. The Carprovet has me worried with the possible liver issues. She's super fussy with eating food. I have to cook for her, and often she won't eat much of it. The past couple of months, it's been harder to get her to eat and her poop is slimy and orange. I tried this, but I get autoship from a vet pharmacy my vet uses and her Carprovet needed refills,so she went several days without it. Not sure if it was not taking the Carprovet or adding this supplement, butcher appetite returned and her poops went back to normal. I started the Carprovet when it came in, and three days in, her poops are softer, orange and slimy again. Our vet took us off the Carprovet and told us to keep it taking this supplement. Hopefully things will get back to normal!

Poor parts extractor

The extractor part does not stay in the cap. I put it back together everyday but still pulls out by itself. The bottle fell over and most of the liquid spilled out onto the counter.

Given to ferret per vet direction

My ferret vet has recommended this in the past for my ferrets because of liver issues. Dosing and recommendations on how to give were provided by a vet. The milk thistle in this is the key support amongst other items. I have seen this product decrease the elevated LFTs in a couple of my ferrets lab values so I continue to use it for all my ferrets as a prophylactic maintenance supplement.

Alcohol for liver health?

I wish I had read the description more carefully. This is an ALCOHOL extract, 20% ALCOHOL by volume. Not exactly something I want to give for liver health. Will be tossing it out. I wish there was a big warning box for products that contain alcohol. As usual though, Chewy delivers fast and is the best.

She doesn't like the taste

This is a new product to us, so not sure it will be beneficial to Maggie, a pit-mix. She has tumors in her liver, so hoping this will help the liver stay strong for a little while longer.
