See Details for instructions to redeem.Animal Essentials’ Plant Enzymes & Probiotics assists in the digestion and absorption of nutrients which are necessary to maintain your pet’s good health. A small, very economical sprinkling each day will relieve extra burden placed on the digestive system by breaking down fats, carbohydrates, cellulose and protein. As your dog or cat’s body ages less enzymes are produced and supplementation is necessary for optimum health. Digestive efficiency can also be reduced by excitement, anxiety or stress of any sort (travel, separation, working stress, etc.). To ensure optimum digestion and health we recommend the addition of this supplement to each meal.

Alpha Amylase: Helps In the Digestion of Carbohydrates By Helping to Hydrolyze the Alpha 1-4 Glycosidic Linkages of Polysaccharides to Dextrin, D-Glucose, Maltose and Oligosaccharides. Beta Amylase: Works On the End of the Starch Molecules Instead of In the Center, As Does Alpha-Amylase and Results In the Production of Sugars from the Starch Molecules. Proteases: Work On Proteins to Reduce Them to Individual Amino Acids (What They Are Composed Of); Some of These Are Acid Stable Proteases That Start Their Work In the Stomach. Proteins Take the Longest and Are the Most Difficult Food Component to Digest. with Acid Stable Protease the Decomposition Starts Earlier In the Digestive Tract, Thus Providing More Complete Digestion. Lipase: Helps to Metabolize Fats (Triglycerides). the Fats Are Broken Down Into Mono Glycerides, Diglycerides and Glycerol. If Given In Larger Quantities the Lipases Can Enter the Bloodstream and Help Remove Excess Triglycerides from the Arteries and the Veins Improving Circulation. Cellulase: As the Name Implies, Breaks Down Cellulose (Fiber) By Helping to Break Down Cell Walls, Resulting In Both Necessary Solubleand Insoluble Fiber. Hemicellulase: Hemi Cellulose and An Amorphous (Sticky) Type of Cellulose That Form Long Strings As Cellulose, Is Crystalline. This Enzyme Helps Break This Polymer Down Into Its Individual Sugars---Primarily Xylose. Bromelain: Is Extracted from Pineapple (Ananas Comosus) and Is A Protolytic (Protein) Digesting Enzyme, That Helps Break the Proteins Into Oligio Peptides and Amino Acids. Probiotic: Is A Lactic Acid Producing Bacteria, Which Bears Spores. These Organisms Exhibit the Characteristics of Both the Genera Lactobacillus and Bacillus. Because They Are Encapsulated In Spores These Organisms Are Protected from the Environment and Heat. They Are Activated In the Gut By the Hydrochloric Acid, Producing Lactic Acid Bacteria. Treatment with Antibiotics Results In the Killing of These Bacteria, Which Guard Against Yeast Colonies (Candida Yeast Species). These Desirable Bacteria Inhibit the Growth of Putrid Bacterial In the Intestine, Thereby Maintaining the Balance of Intestinal Flora. Calcium Sulfate: the Primary Carrier or Excipient for This Product Is Food Grade and Adds A Minimum Amount of Calcium to the Diet, About 200 mg Per Gm of Product.

my cats would only nibble, never finish, their food when I mixed it in their wet food. Tried off and on to sneak it past them to no avail. Then tasted it myself and found it to be fairly sour. I expect that is why they don't like it either. Threw out a lot of unfinished bowls of wet food. Using another brand of probiotics instead now with no problems.
Not sure yet, but my cat seems to handle it fine. Just waiting to see if it helps with his gasous nature and "almost human-like" belches.
Helped my Golden get off RX food! Eating a better quality food now and no more boo boo belly!
I've ordered this MANY times for my fur baby who's digestively sensitive. I fill gelatin capsules with the powder and then smear the filled capsules with a smidgen of creamy, no salt/no xylitol peanut butter. He's convinced it's a treat and asks for it.
This is a great product to help your dogs gut. Highly recommended
I have a cat that eats my plants and then throws up. I have been feeding it sensitive stomach food and that has helped but was told to try Plant Enzyme as that also might help. It has really helped. My cat that was daily eating away at my plants has really stopped pretty much and since we started with the daily plant enzyme added to food once a day he has only thrown up twice, (it's been about 5 weeks). I now add it once a day to all of my cats food and everybody is doing great. Would recommend it to anyone who has a plant eating pet.
I've been sprinkling this in my dogs food for a long time. I assumed it was just probiotics. He has been losing weight lately, so I got a blood test fro my dog and it showed very high levels of calcium. The vet asked if i was giving calcium supplements. Since this is the only extra thing I give him, I checked the label and the first ingredient is Calcium Sulfate which I guess is the base powder. this is Gypsum, which Plaster of paris is made from. I am stopping this immediately and we will get another blood test in a month to see if it has improved.
Dissolves in water easily to add to dry food. Works well but do not seem to need it every day.
I bought this for my dog because of his sensitivite stomach. He smelled the stuff on his food and wouldn't even touch it. I mixed well in so he didn't see anything and still wouldn't touch it.. And my boy eats everything.
I got this for my puppy's loose stool. I tried to make this work, but every time I applied it to my puppy's kibble, she would struggle to swallow her food. I think I read in another review that the filler is gypsum (wall board). I guess that's why. Don't buy.
