Feeding Instructions

Adult: The age and activity level of your dog will help you determine the amount of Annamaet Adult to feed your dog.

Females: Gestation and lactation are one of the most nutritionally demanding stages of a normal adult dog's life. Food consumption should increase during gestation. Feed the necessary amount to maintain her proper body weight. During lactation, food intake may double or quadruple.

Puppies: Growing puppies should have approximately twice the amount of calories per pound of body weight as an adult dog. They should be fed all the moistened Annamaet Adult they want at intervals throughout the day until they are about three months of age. They then can be fed moistened amounts three times daily and twice daily after six months of age.

It is a must that all dogs and puppies should have access to fresh, clean water at all times. Their feed and water containers should be washed daily. Please remember, that dogs are like humans, and different dogs have different appetites. The feeding chart below is approximate measures for average weights. The look, feel, and actions of your dog should help you determine the amount of feed they need.

A standard measuring cup holds 3.5 ounces of Annamaet Adult.

  • Dogs Will Eat It, But They're Hungry

    By on Top 500 Contributor

Good food. I like Annamaet, but I think the protein in this food is too low as they are always hungry. I like the lower fat content (which is helping my chubby ones) but long before it's time to eat they seem to be starving and begging to be be fed. If I buy this brand again I'd definitely go with the higher protein. I also like that there are no peas or legumes which is a big factor for me when selecting a food.

  • This food saved our dogs life!

    By on

Our 10 year old Great Dane mix was starting to have trouble with his joints and had a tough time standing up. He ate a minimum of 2 bowls of kibbles and bits a day. Switched him to Annamaet and within 3 months he was a puppy again! Jumping and playing and running around! His fur was soft and shiny again without having to feed him fish oil. Plus, one bowl would last him 2-3 days. He didn't have to eat so much because he was actually getting the nutrition his body needed. This food gave us another 6 amazing years with him. This is the best quality dog food ever! And honestly, because he didn't have to eat so much food, we saved money! I will never feed my dogs anything but Annamaet ever again!! • For an old Weimaraner who gets tired of OLD food.

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

We tried to keep both our dogs on the same brand of food, which is good and well made but the Weimaraner, who is almost 9 years old, got tired of the same food and we also discovered that he is allergic at the grain shorgum. After a lot of searches we decided on the Annamaet and he is happy and eats it well. Besides, it has a low protein content which is recommanded for the large dogs.

  • High Quality, Dog Loves It

I have a 10mo Vizsla, and past 2 months I have been working with different foods after she had a reaction to a popular big retailer "premium brand". Dog loves Annamaet, scratches skin less, no digestive issues. Works as training treats also. Another reviewer mentioned "not smelly", and I totally agree. I have found that my Vizsla has less "dog breath" (smells better) and less "rear odor" with the Annamaet foods (they are what they eat, right). The food feels better too... like when I handle it, my hands are not greasy and the kibble size is small and light. My Vizsla is prone to throwing up in a car, but plays well with this food (so far). She does like the salmon version better, so I use Annamaet I have a 10mo Vizsla, and past 2 months I have been working with different foods after she had a reaction to a popular big retailer "premium brand". • Annamaet is outstanding

    By on

Annamaet comes in several protein and fat content options - all of which are outstanding. I have fed Annamaet since it was first produced to my kennel of as many as 17 sled dogs - always satisfied, never any complaints. I know that it is closely monitored for nutritional value and wholesomeness.

Annamaet is the greatest food especially for northern breed dogs. They love it! So glad to find it on chewy as other companies don’t carry it. Thanks chewy for carrying this exceptional food!
