    Kibble Size

    By on

I purchased the Annamaet Ultra and the kibble was about the size of a pea. I recently purchased the Encore, and the kibble was huge in comparison... slightly more than a half inch. I was under the impression that Annamaet kibble is the same size throughout their brand. I'm sure this is great food, but the kibble in the Encore is too large for the dog I purchased it for.

    GSD loves...but

    By on

My dog loves it and his stool is firm and regular. However, I bought two bags, a 5 pound bag to try out and then a 40 pound bag. The kibble size in the 5 pound bag was tiny, the new bag seems to have kibble that is much larger. Smaller kibble is easier to digest. Not sure why there is such a difference. Would like to contact the company, but they don't list an email on their site. I find this strange.

    So far so good!

I have a fussy eating old dog who’s taken to Annamaet Encore with relish. interestingly enough, it was the kibble he was eating when he came to me 12 years ago. I’m delighted.

    So far so good

    By on

I'd never heard of Annamaet until I met someone who fed it to his dog---it's sold near him but he lives in a different state than I do. I chose it based on research I did after hearing about the latest veterinary study cautioning dog owners about grain free foods that use pea, potato and other starches as those have been found to result in higher risk of cardiomyopathy. So far, dog likes Annamaet but he likes everything. I'll need more time to see if I notice a difference in him---coat, energy, etc. He's 9 and active.

A Little Pricey But Good Quality

    By on

I use Encore for puppies for first 9 months to a year then switch to grain free. I have sporting dogs and this works well with them. The largest bag does not have the zipper to close the bag again and I found that to be a pain when I am used to resealing bag this way.

Fantastic for my puppy, he completely devours it. It's all natural, contains all the nutrients my puppy needs, and locally sourced in my home state!

My dog likes so I do too!

    By on

Our G Swiss puppy was getting a little bored of her food. Was told by a breeder she feeds her Greater Swiss dogs Annamaet. So far she has been eating well on schedule and seems to really like this stuff. I like the ingredients and that it's made in USA. Annamaet customer service sent me free samples to try. Even though the costs sound higher; it takes less daily with better nutrition. So I'm happy cause my dog is happy! I gave it 4 stars due to not using for very long at this point.

    Smells Good

    By on

Both of my girls love it! Sometimes dog food has a stench, but this food actually smells more like human food rather than dog food. A couple breeders recommended it for for my large breed puppy. The right mix of protein and fat. I have not seen it bring sold on stores in So California, so ordered it easily through Chewy.com.

    Great product

    By on

Annamaet was recommended by my pup's breeder. We continued to feed it to him from the time he came home at eight weeks. Since it is meant for all stages I felt comfortable feeding it to him. There was a period at 18 weeks where he started avoiding his food so I added some chicken stock to increase his interest. Now I only add some warm water and it is gone. At six months he has a bright shiny coat, his stools are always firm, ( no cleaning up puppies) and he is a bright as a Vizsla should be. I recommend this dog food because it is corn and wheat free and my pup is thriving.
