I finally found this vitamin that simply contains the nutrients needed without the fad herbs that upset my husky/shepherd's gut.
I highly recommend this supplement if you feed your pet a home cooked diet.
I gave this to my dog, as per the instructions. He's large, so it was something like 5 spoons (the included spoon). I gave him one half the total amount for one dinner and he got very ill with diarrhea that night. Not realizing that was what was causing the problem, I gave it to him once more for breakfast the next day and he got bloody diarrhea that continued all day and into the night. I stopped giving him the supplement and he was better in a day. I have to think it was too much at once. I think you have to work up to 5 scoops of this a day for over a week or something so it doesn't create stomach issues.
My dog has colitis and she is on a homemade diet. The nutritionist recommended this and so far she has been doing well on it. I am glad that Chewy has it available.
