Glycocharge has been formulated to be an ideal post exercise supplement by aiding in the replenishment of muscle glycogen stores following exercise. Glycogen, one of the fuels used by the body during strenuous exercise, provides endurance and is synthesized from carbohydrates. Post-exercise use of Annamaet Glycocharge helps rebuild muscle glycogen stores to pre-exercise levels.

I tried this product with 3 of my dogs. One dog it was fine with, but still caused some almost loose stools. Another one of my dogs it caused diarrhea, but it came and went randomly. My 3rd dog it caused blow out diarrhea on several occasions, one of those times was traveling home from a weight pull competition in his crate in the back of my vehicle; that was a horrific experience for the both of us. I do think the product helps with recovery and that's why I gave it the 2 stars instead of 1, but unfortunately it just isn't worth the risk of the stomach upset to me. I even tried using a lower amount than the recommended dosage (it does seem like A LOT of powder based on the weight of my dogs) and they still had upset stomachs and blow outs from it. Unfortunately I will not be using this product again and donated it to a friend that does have success with it for her dogs.
I was an Annameat dealer of all products. I have used Glycocharge for over 20 years. I have not found a sled dog who didn't like it. Saved a few from dehydration too.
I purchased this product based off of the reviews. Pheasant season started here last month and my English pointer has been hunting hard 5 days a week. The first time we tried this product my dog had a gel like stool for two days. I took him to the vet as I have never seen stool like that before. Yesterday I gave him it another try as he was really run down. I came home to a black tar all through my living room. I would not give this product to a working dog as it could have catastrophic results with a run down dog that is not properly hydrating.
If you dog is a coach potato, you don’t need this. If you have a hard working dog, this stuff is the bee’s knee’s. I train German Shorthairs and we train hard. Glycocharge definitely reduces recovery time. It’s not cheap, but definitely worth the money.
Dogs love it, ensuring they rehydrate at the end of a long day of hunting, whether it provides any other benefit or not.
This stuff really helps my dogs recover after a day running hare in the high mountains!
so glad i was able to find glycocharge again - yes i spoil my dog - she will only drink water flavored with glycocharge. thank you chewy
We have used it for many years with the Field Trial dogs and they Love it! It helps with the hydration and recovery!
Product might be good but I can't get him to drink it. Tried water, beef broth, and chicken bone broth.
So far the dog loves it post mountain bike ride, run, or day of hunting. I really like that it gets her to drink water as well. My dog previously didn't drink water after a workout. Only complaint is it makes my dog pass gas like crazy!!
