  • Great Food

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My pup was starting to put on a little extra fat. I was concerned, so I switched him to this food. That extra fat is gone and has been replaced by lean muscle. He has only ever had grain free food, so I am glad Annamaet makes a food that is both low in fat and grain free. He no longer has extra weight on him. He is very healthy, has small stools, has lost all that extra fat, has a gorgeous coat and is the smartest pup I've ever known!

  • Grain-free low-fat, dog approved

My 3 yr rescue had a bout with pancreatitis and is susceptible. The vet put him on a prescription diet that he liked, but it was all grains and fillers. Since he has some grain allergies, I started searching for grain-free, low-fat and low fiber foods. I've tried quite a few. Some he wouldn't eat, some gave him gas. Then I tried Annamaet, and he likes it. He eats it with no stomach distress and we don't have the allergic reaction as we did with the prescription food. Plus its made in the USA.

  • Great for all stages, all sizes

My dog, Bailey, got pancreatitis and this was the lowest % fat content dry food I found that were grain free and were not prescription food filled with junk fillers. It worked well to keep his pancreatitis away for 9 months now. I also feed it to my 1 year old maltipoo and have been feeding it to my golden doodle puppy since she was 8 wks (she is now 4 months). My vet says my dogs are all perfect weight. It's great for all life stages and all sizes. Only con is that the kibbles are pretty big.

  • My Vizsla puppy and Boston Terrier love this food

    By on

I have a senior BT with pancreatitis and a 8 months old picky eater Vizsla puppy. My puppy only wants to eat what my BT eats, so it was tough to find food suitable for dogs with pancreatitis and puppies. This one is great, they both love it and I don't have to feed them separately anymore.

  • Great dog food!

My dog is the most pickiest eater in the world and he suffers from pancreatitis. Not only does he love this food but I'm already noticing his stool is better and he's got more energy. The cardinal rule is to do a switch from the old dog food to the new one. I did my switch in 5 days. I use to have to mix steamed turkey just to get him to eat his old dog food. Not anymore. He also suffers from bad allergies and has red spots on his body. I hope this dog food even helps with that. It's only been a week of him being on this food, but he's really digging out right now. The fact this food is designed for dogs that are overweight and have pancreatitis, ( exactly what my dug suffers from) I'm hoping My dog is the most pickiest eater in the world and he suffers from pancreatitis. • A delightful aroma!

After trying the 5 lb bag my pup loves this food and it agrees with her! I will be ordering the 15 pound bag. This is the only good lean dog food I could find. Thank you Chewy!

  • Met with eager eaters

    By on

Since I have 2 miniature schnauzers who are notorious for developing pancreatitis, my vet suggested I put them on a low fat diet as a prevention. Initially, I mixed this with the last of their regular food and they transitioned in about a week. I notice they eagerly await feeding times like never before and there stools are somewhat softer than before. However, one of them was a rescue from a really bad situation and has always had troubles pooping, so this is an improvement for him!

  • Must be delicious!

I bought this food for my dog that had test results bordering on pancreatitis. I switched from Blue Buffalo Wilderness because this grain-free food (I have a dog sensitive to grains) has a much lower fat content. While I haven't confirmed the pancreatitis is better, I had no issues switching the food "cold-turkey" (100% change...no easing into the transition). Also, as a bonus, I think this food must be delicious. My other dog has hated all other food I've given her in the 10 years I've had her, so I thought she just didn't care about food. I put this one on the floor, and she actually showed some aggression over wanting it! I had no idea she would ever actually prefer food this much! I wanted to give my dogs a raw diet, but the cost was too much. While this food is quite pricey, it's incrementally not as much more as it would be to go to a raw diet. I'll definitely stick to this food for a while, unless it doesn't end up helping with the pancreatitis. … more

  • Good first experience

    By on

Chose the Lean food and Chewy.com from a friend's recommendation. Love the ease of your website and being able to choose my delivery dates and times. So far, our YorkiePoo and Boston like the new food and it seems to agree with their tummies.

  • Great product!

My Carin Terrier suffers from pancreatitis. She was prescribed prescription dog food which not only costs a fortune but isn't made with the finest ingredients. I discovered this food and after reading the reviews I thought I would give it a try. I'm glad I did as my dog loves it! She's had no tummy issues since she's been eating this food. Would highly recommend!
