  • Not as helpful as I’d hoped

    By on

This did not cure my beta’s Fin Rot as I’d hoped it would. I followed the directions on the bottle, moving Sai to a hospital tank. I was also using StressCoat in addition. It seemed to help stop the rotting progression - immediately being followed by aquarium salt for 10 days - but he isn’t cured or growing back healthy tissue.

  • 7 is to much

The directions say to give it to the betta fish for seven days, that is to many. My friend’s fish and my fish went crazy after 3 days so I suggest 2 days every other day and give it a rest

  • Great product

My betta had a large gash on his head from scraping it on an ornament about a month ago. Gash wasn't getting worse but wasn't getting better for about 3 weeks. Added Bettafix and wound was healed in a week!

This worked really well! It came fast, and once I figured out the right ratio, my betta recovered quickly. I did catch the fin rot rather early though.

  • Mixed Results

I've used this product a few times when my betta has contracted fin rot and facial sores. It took a long time to work on its own, and I found that doing aquarium salt baths helped heal him much faster, although treating with both seemed to be most effective. I mostly use this when I'm doing a water change by adding a few drops to my betta's isolation tank while I'm cleaning the main tank and it seems to help prevent diseases.

  • Worked wonderfully!!

    By on

My fish's eye was swollen out of the side of it's head, we dont know what happened to him, if he ran into the plastic plant or if it was a condition called Popeye eye. It happened so fast. We didn't expect for the fish to survive or at least loose the eye completely. We had to try to save him so we used the BETTA fix every day for a week and it worked wonderfully!! The swelling went down and his eye is almost completely normal, he can move it and he can see well. I really am so happy that the product worked! Thank you!!!

I ordered this for the first time and went by the easy to read directions on this site, they were the same for the API site as well. I contacted API about the product for misc questions and they said they only way to use this BettaFix is to remove the carbon in a filtration system. Huh? Why isnt that written anywhere on the package or on their website? I just wasted quite a bit of the bottle by not removing the carbon filter in my tank. No wonder the betta's tail never looked any better. Apparently API thinks us newbies already have a wealth of knowledge. Not happy. Ill go back to old fashioned aquarium salt for any wounds or issues. Good grief. • It Worked for my betta.

This healed my betta's fins in a few days that got torn from the plants in the fish tank. It also healed the betta's head that had a white patch on his head. Which I think it was a fungal infection. I recommend this.

I've had alot of mixed results from using this product. Sometimes it does miracles for my bettas fins and other times it makes their breathing labored which results in needing an immediate water change and discontinuing use. Aquarium Salt has amazing results and does less harm to your bettas.
