I have a mini bowl tabk which is 2.5 gallons. How would I use it if I don't have a 10 gallon tank
Answer by • Jul 28, 2020
When a powdered medication must be dosed for a tank that is smaller than 10 gallons (per the packet), it is recommended to do the following protocol for each dose: Dissolve the packet of medication into 10 ounces of dechlorinated (or tank) water. Use an amount of ounces of the resulting mixture that is equal to the number of gallons of water in the tank (for example use 2.5 ounces for 2.5 gallons). Discard the unused portion of the mixture, as the medication will not be stable enough in the water to be able to dose from this mixture on a different day.
Can I use this in my ten gallon tank that has a frog, a snail, a guppy, and a Betta (the sick one)?
Answer by • Aug 13, 2019
This product is safe for the frog, snail and guppy as well.
What medication is in this and the dose per pkg in milligrams? I have used this previously and want to make sure that info hasn't changed.
Answer by • Aug 14, 2019
This medication is made of 99.9% sodium chloride and 0.1% doxycycline hyclate. For each 10 gallons of water, empty one packet directly into aquarium. Repeat dose after 24 hours. Wait another 24 hours then change 25% of the aquarium water. Repeat this treatment for a second time, for a total of 4 doses. Then make a final 25% water change and add fresh activated carbon or replace filter cartridge.
Can fin & body cure be used with (or immediately after) a treatment using fungus cure? My fish had cotton fungus, that cleared up quickly, only to reveal a red sore underneath.

Any of the API medications can be used in conjunction to each other. There is no wait time on the usage of the products.
