So, help keep your water clean and clear for your favorite finned friends with API's solutions.

Key Benefits
  • Effectively controls green water algae, string or hair algae and blanketweed in ornamental ponds.
  • Helps keep ponds, water gardens and ponds clean and clear.
  • Algaecide controls existing algae and helps resolve additional algae blooms.
  • This algae solution is safe for live plants and pond fish.
  • Do not use with freshwater crustaceans, including shrimp, crabs and lobsters.
Precautions

For synthetically lined pond and fountain use only, where all water is contained without any outflow. Before using, make certain that the pond has vigorous aeration, i.e. a fountain or aeration device to avoid fish loss due to low oxygen levels. When algae is controlled and removed by the filter or settles to the bottom of the pond, the oxygen level may drop to harmful levels if adequate aeration is not provided. In warm weather, pond water carries much less oxygen. Therefore, when using during warm weather and high water temperatures, vigorous, 24 hour aeration is required for the duration of the treatment. Do not shut off pond pumps and aeration devices at night. Caution: Do not use with freshwater crustaceans, including: shrimp, crabs, and lobsters. HAZARDS TO HUMANS & ANIMALS: Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

    No death and destruction

    By on

Pond still full algea. Received it on 9/10 and put the first treatment in on that date. I have a 1200 gallon pond and so 4oz per treatment. I have been doing this every 3 days per the instructions and have vacuum the pond 2x already to make sure there is no dead stuff or waste feeding the algae. Am getting ready to put another treatment today and vacuum, but now I don't think there is a point as I see little that needs vacuuming. I have Koi in the pond and at least they have had no issues or death. Only reason I did not give it 1 star is because the algae has not gotten worse and am trying to stay optimistic after spending $107 that at least it's helping out a bit.

    Algaefix for ponds

    By on

I had a bad algae bloom in my 200 gallon sugar kettle that I use as my pond for my fish. I read many comments about it killing fish but decided to try it anyway. The other methods I used didn’t work. I underdose the pond on purpose. I used about 5 1/2 ml for my pond and waited three days and dose again and after 3 weeks my water looks great and my fish never died from it. I have tropical fish in my pond.

    Best Stuff Ever

    By on

There are innumerable products on the market that claim to rid a garden pond of algae. This is the only product with which we have had success . . . complete success! I dose the pond once a week according to the directions, and that's it. No other work to do. I LOVE this stuff.

    Don’t overdose!!!

    By on

My husband misjudged the dosage and apparently we overdosed our koi pond and half of them died. We had to drain and refill our pond to save the others. I have no idea if it would have worked on the algae and now I am too afraid to try it again.

Love this stuff, really knocks down the algea, I have a 1/2 pond and we did not get enough rain to fill the pond to overflow so I needed to add more water and aerate it more often and the algea was blooming so this really helped

    Always gets the job done

    By on

It seems like every spring the algae starts a little take over in the pond. I have a 9000 gallon pond and one bottle of this pretty much wraps it up for the rest of the year.
