Feed your bottom fish a delicious, nutrient-rich food that produces less ammonia for cleaner, clearer water with API Bottom Feeder Optimal Protein Sinking Shrimp Pellets. These pellets produce up to 30% less ammonia than leading competitor foods because they are made with highly palatable shrimp and nutritionally enhanced protein for maximum digestion. The more nutrients your fish digests, the less waste and ammonia. It is a complete and balanced diet for all bottom-feeding fish including Catfish, Plecostomus and Loaches. Feed twice a day, and provide only as much as your fish will consume within 30 minutes.

Overfeeding, low palatability, and low quality lead to unconsumed or poorly digested food, which raises the ammonia level in the aquarium, causing cloudy water and even fish death. Do not overfeed. To accommodate the slower feeding habits of most bottom feeders, feed the amount of food your fish will consume within 30 minutes.

We have a tank with multiple kinds of fish, including a loach. The pet store recommended this so we started with it. When we ran out, it could not be found anywhere (thanks covid) so I tried something else for bottom feeders. What a difference in the water quality! Within days our tank was nasty and the loach was looking very unhappy, didn't see him for about a week. I was SO glad to find this again. Now the tank is clear and clean, my fish are happy again, I won't use anything else!
My fish ate it but I had to go too town and buy Wardley shrimp pellets. Wardley pellets are smooth and become mushy very quickly. My fish love them, even my tetras steal a bite or two from the bottom. The API are sharp and don't dissolve as quickly, I was worried about my Cory cats tender mouths with the API brand.
Have tried other brands but my corys love these best - they come out of hiding and search for every last pellet.
My catfish have been dining on this for years . . . and love it!
I bought these pellets around 2 months ago and my fish and I have loved it ever since. I have 3 Pictus Catfish and a Pleco and they go for it the second the pellets hit the ground. I also have other fish, and THEY even go for them. I would definitely recommend this to other aquarists.
My cory cats and zebra loaches love this food, but so do my rainbow fish. I have to feed a few extra so everyone gets enough!
Had no idea the size of this container. I only have a 5.5 gal take a 2 Cory cats and some mollies and a couple of otos. This is going to last a.LONG time! Great deal for the money!
Okay it did take our pleco a month to figure out these were food (he might not be the brightest pleco). But he loves these.
My Cory Catfish loves to work at eating these sinking pellets. I think these are for a larger size bottom feeding fish, but the Cory seems to be good with them. Just note that each pellet is at least 3 cm and round, so they will feed a couple of smaller Catfish no problem. My catfish is about 2 inches in length, so if you have a larger bottom feeder/5 inch fish, they would be perfect size for this larger pellet.
Way better than other product I tried! The Loaches eat them as soon as they hit the bottom. I am very pleased.
