About Apoquel Tablets for Dogs

Relief for Your Itchy Dog

For dogs with allergic itch, relief can’t come soon enough. Apoquel (oclacitinib tablet) provides fast, safe relief from itching—so you and your dog can get back to doing what you love.

Fast Acting

If your dog is scratching, licking or chewing like crazy, you want to provide relief that starts acting quickly. Apoquel starts relieving allergic dog itch within 4 hours and helps control itch within 24 hrs.

Targets Itch at the Source

Apoquel goes right to the source of allergic itch, to help stop itching and relieve associated inflammation in affected canines.

9 Million Dogs and Counting

You can have peace of mind knowing that your dog is in good company—9 million dogs (and counting) have already had their allergic itch treated with Apoquel. Your dog could be next!

Do not use Apoquel in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections. Apoquel may increase the chances of developing serious infections, and may cause existing parasitic skin infestations or pre-existing cancers to get worse. Consider the risks and benefits of treatment in dogs with a history of recurrence of these conditions. New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) were observed in clinical studies and post-approval. Apoquel has not been tested in dogs receiving some medications including some commonly used to treat skin conditions such as corticosteroids and cyclosporines. Do not use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhea. Apoquel has been used safely with many common medications including parasiticides, antibiotics and vaccines. See full Prescribing Information.

Worked for a bit, then stopped working

We bought this because our vet recommended it for our Yorkie's allergies. The medication started working right away, but after a few weeks, we noticed she was still itching, licking her paws, and biting them. We stopped using this product and instead the vet gave her a shot and we changed her food to a hydrolyzed protein one. No allergies ever since! Happy puppy, happy parents!

New ~leash~ on life!

My dog had been suffering from allergies his whole life, but vets always said the allergy medicine side effects would outweigh the benefits. But as he's gotten older and we moved, his allergies have gotten worse. We finally saw a vet that immediately wanted to put him on Apoquel. I was so relieved, but worried that it wouldn't work. But it did! He no longer constantly scratches and licks (read: tears apart) his paws. All of the bandaid fixes, guilt, and stress over the years was solved with just one half pill a day. It's not cheap, but you can't put a price on quality of life. This is the cheapest price I've found, and the auto-shipping is pretty flexible, which is great for my ADHD self. We got bloodwork done before starting to be cautious as he's older, so I'd recommend doing that.

Major relief

Similar to other stories, my dog is older, and when I moved, his allergies got severely worse. He would with lick and scratch, causing his skin to bleed or broken skin. I've trialed this medication for 2 weeks with a significant reduction in his condition. Prior, I tried benadryl and allergy injections with no relief for him. I don't know if this is going to be the long-term solution, but it does work. I'm also changing the prescription food again to Z/D diet. He has a sensitive stomach, too. His skin and stomach could both be an issue.

Tried everything

I've tried pretty much everything to help my dog, Belgian Malinois, get relief from allergies and itching. Apoquel is the only thing that helps. If your dog scratches frequently, at least give it a try. Your dog will appreciate it.

Apoquel for allergies

One of my cats was having a hard time with allergies. Living in Florida, pollen is a big issue even for indoor pets. We have tried other allergy meds but nothing really worked for her. Runny eyes and chewing at her paws. My vet told me that Apoquel was showing promise in use for cats. For Bella, Apoquel works! Her eyes have cleared up, chewing at the paws is greatly reduced, to the point where the fur is now grown back. This medication is worth the cost for the relief it gives her!

about delivery

Its great to do business with Chewy. Also like the commericals with Ralph and Georgio. They are too cute. You need to use them more in your commericals.

Same as my vet gives me

Perfect replacement for what my vet gives me, and this ships directly to my home. Chewy sent the authorization to my vet and they took care of it.

Does not work on Seasonal allergies

My pup has suffered from fall allergies for 10 years. I've tried Benadryl, Zyrtec, store brand allergy meds, baths, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, sprays, flea medication, combing, flea bombing the house.... This year I tried this $100 allergy med out of desperation!! She is still itching after several weeks of being on the medication. She keeps us awake at night, she can't get sleep herself. It's just miserable, and now I'm out a $100.

Works great

My dog gets red, itchy feet and mouth sometimes from unknown allergies and this is the only medicine that has worked! I've tried steroids, antibiotics, topicals but nothing seemed to get rid of it completely until this. No side affects either.
