My Busy Dog Water Resistant Reflective Anti-Slip Dog Boots, 4 count

Do you have any tips for how to know you have the velcro tightened to the right spot? I don't want to make it too tight but they slip off his feet after he walks for a bit. Basically, how do I know it's too tight/too loose/just right?

  • The boots should be tight enough on your pet's leg to avoid them falling off but not tight enough that you can't fit at least one finger in, similar to a collar.

  • In my experience with many other brands of boots (some very similar to this one), if you can get a finger under strap of boot, it'll fall off. Strap needs to be snug, above dewclaw, both to keep boot on and to keep snow out. My dog and I walk miles. If the boot is designed well enough to not turn up...more side down on his paw, and straps are snugged tight enough to keep most snow out (and are not elastic), the boot stays on; he can run full speed, leap through snowbanks, and play hard, even at the dogpark.
