    Betta Mommy

One Beta can do just fine in 2 gals. Betas do not need a filter, but easier to keep clean if one is used. Betas can be keep just like a Goldfish. Just in a bowl. Change water once a week. I would not put any fish in a 1 gal. aquarium. Poor fish. With all the plants and decor. There's no place to swim. Well may be 1-3 Neon Tetras.

1 year with the EcoQube C

I have had my tank now for a little over a year and my betta is very happy. I see some reviews complaining about tank size, water heater, and no maintenance. First off the size of the tank is on the small side, but it is perfectly suitable for a single betta. I also have a cherry red shrimp and two nerite snails with lots of plants and moss. There is plenty of room for him to swim around and he jets across the tank all the time. Second if you have a temperature controlled house you just need to keep the tank away from windows and vents. The temperature of the water will stay the temperature of the house simple as that. Lastly the tank is not zero maintenance. Every month or two the pump needs to be removed and cleaned because microbial growth that will clog it up. You will notice the water flow in the tank will decrease, but should be checked if you can't visually. Some of the excess gunk and water should be sucked out of the back when you clean the pump. This will lower any nitrate buildup when you add clean water to refill what you remove. One more point is the plant the grows on top has to be replace monthly. I have grown green onions and basil. Due to nutrient deficiencies though, besides nitrates, the plant will grow less and less. Green onions are by far the better choice. Hope this helps! … more

    Betta EcoSystem Aquarium

I've had a BiOrb in the past, was ready for a smaller scale, more hassle free option. Based on EcoQ website vid &lukewarm reviews, I got EcoQ C, &waited 2 mo's to submit my review. Entering 3rd month, my betta &I couldn't be happier. @2 gallons, it's sufficient for 1 betta but u must properly seascape it w/some real plants, silk ones, moss balls, mineral beads, rock features w/tunnels, etc. My betta luvs to explore all area's &u must provide that stimuli in a 2G tank. I used affordable, pre-treated, bottled betta water to fill the tank, a great option to jump start ur betta's home! (learned from past water issues w/BiOrb) I planted basil &mint stems into same Net Pot &they thrived, growing immediately I've had a BiOrb in the past, was ready for a smaller scale, more hassle free option. plant not growing

I don’t think the tank was worth the price. I can’t seem to get my basil to grow and there’s not enough instructions on it. I wish I would have went with a larger less expensive tank.

Enjoy the size of the 1 gallon aquarium with 6 micro fish rather than 1 Berta.

    Really keeps Betta healthy

    By on

I have had a betta on this tank for 2 years the fish is very healthy and the maintenance on this tank is low. The fish has plenty of room and swims all around. I have had no problems with water quality at all. I would recommend for a small betta!

    Too small, and impossible.

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Betta need at LEAST 2.5 gallons, with a heater and filter. Also a "no-maintenance tank" is physically and biologically IMPOSSIBLE.
