Purchased to help move some koi and goldfish out of an old pond being renovated. It doesn't do well in the speed department. There is considerable drag causing the frame to bend backward. The net would be good for the slower activities like removing leaves or twigs - or perhaps fully retracted it would be okay for smaller fish in a small preformed pond. Fully extended the drag is too much to be useful for anything but removing a few leaves from the surface at a time. So to summarize: good for lightweight, slow work. Not good for fast moving fish in a pond that actually needs a fully extended net (or even the net fully retracted). One more thing worth mentioning, the texture of the grip is not comfortable when any weight or drag is experienced.
