Help keep your aquarium at just the right temperature with the Aquatop Nano Aquarium Heater with Thermostat. Perfect for small aquariums up to four gallons, it has a built-in precise electronic thermostat that’s pre-set to keep the water temperature at 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the water is warmed up to the target temperature, the heater shuts down automatically so it's perfect to keep your plants, fish and invertebrates thriving. Plus, it’s easy to set up with included suction cups and slim profile design.
Fully submersible plastic aquarium heater keeps water at a pre-set temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
Perfect for small aquariums up to 4 gallons, for both freshwater and marine environments.
Automatic shutdown feature means it won’t heat the water to more than the target temperature.
Built of highly durable reinforced plastic so it’s great for anytime use.
Easy to install with slim profile and included suction cups, and has a 15-watt capacity.
Attach suction cups to the heater at the upper half of glass heating unit.
Mount heater vertically inside aquarium using suction cups. Choose a location with good water flow. Make sure that the water line is not lower than the bottom of the temperature setting display as this will expose the heating element to air and can cause the heater to fail.
Wait at least 15 minutes before plugging in your heater. This allows the heating unit to adjust to the current temperature of the aquarium water.
Create a drip loop. Then plug the heater into an electrical outlet.
To set heater temperature, use the temperature control knob located on top of the glass heater. Most tropical fish prefer temperatures around 76-82 degrees Fahrenheit.
When the light is on, this indicates that heater is on and heating the water.
When light is off, the temperature (heater) has reached the desired degrees (temperature) setting.
Working well in nano tanks. Keep in mind that the heater needs to be unplugged before doing a water change.

The pet store I work at has a very limited selection of heaters and I needed something that would fit my tank, as well as something that would be easy to use and stress free. I like that this heater automatically turns off when the pre-set temperature is reached, so I don’t have to worry about it.

I'm on my second one of these, & like the first one, it died in less than 6 months of use. Done with this brand, trying something new.
try something else

i believe i ended up with three of them within 1 year. chewy was kind enough to replace the faulty ones. but the last one never made it past 6 months. one did not work long, one overheated, last one just stopped..
It fell apart and left a mess
on Sep 29, 2019
I purchased this heater in February 2019 and the other day it fell apart in my tank leaving a mess. It appears the heater broke away from the top and spilled out some sand-like (hoping that’s all that it is) substance all over the tank. I had to do a large water change and I tried my best to clean it up. I hope it doesn’t harm my fish. Would not buy again.
Don't buy this heater

After seven months of working great, this heater essentially "blew up" in the aquarium. Somehow our betta is still alive but he won't come out from hiding inside his protective log. It has been three days:(
Perfect for 3 gallon

I love this heater! Very slim- hardly know it's in there but my betta fish is bubble nesting all over the place! It keeps the tank at a constant 78 degrees.
Perfect for what I needed it for.

This was for a 1 gallon hospital tank. It's the smallest wattage I could find that didn't have stinky reviews. Yes, the suction cups are a little wonky - I've got it positioned horizontally at the bottom of the tank so it stays put and it keeps the water at just about 80 degrees, Slightly warmer than ideal, but ok for a hospital tank. I'd suggest making sure there's a thermometer in the the tank and checking it often.
great so far!

this has worked perfectly for the month i've had it. sleek and not obvious, it doesn't clutter my tank or draw attention to it. only complain would be that the suction cup comes off easily.

Had a hard time finding a heater for my five gallon tank but my betta is warm and happy.
