Does this heater go under the rocks
Answer by ChewyDec 24, 2020
Suction cups are included so you can mount the heater to the bottom or sidewall of the aquarium.

Can I use it outdoors for winters in a bird bath to keep the water from freezing. Weather here in Chicago could get quite cold
Answer by ChewyDec 10, 2020
Aquatic Flat Heaters provide warmth for small tropical fish and are designed for glass or acrylic desktop aquariums at least 1 gallon in size, but less than 10 gallons. This heater is not intended or designed for use in outdoor bird baths.

Will this heater work on the outside of the tank or does it have to be submerged.
Answer by ChewyApr 27, 2021
This heater is fully submersible and will turn off when removed from the water.

Should I get the 7.5 watt or 15 watt for a 3.5 gallon tank?
Answer by ChewyMar 11, 2021
The 7.5 W heater works best for 1 to 3-gallon fish tanks and the 15 W is best for 4 to 10-gallon tanks.

great item and fast delivery

Heater works great just have to make sure it's room temp before putting it in the tank and I recommend plugging it in right before putting it in that way it gets warm before in the tank.

Works like a charm!

I have 6 of these in all my tanks and they work amazingly, they are flat and stay on the side of the tank and out of the way and they keep the water at a perfect temperature! I use them for my bettas and snails tanks and they love them! I would definitely recommend these to anyone who needs a great heater that works good and is a good size to leave the fish room to swim!

Over heats tank.

First and foremost, always use a thermometer to keep tabs on your water temp. Heater was fine for months, then overheated my betta tank. There are so few choices for small tanks....wish a manufacturer could make a decent heater.

Worthless - Save your Money

I purchased just to put in a small bucket for a makeshift quarantine tank - it doesn't heat up even a couple gallons. The unit itself barely feels warm at all when you touch it.

Good delivery, item not great

This heater has no adjustment settings. I had the 5w for a one gallon tank and it was perfect. I used this one for 2.5 gallons and it was a bit much.

Nice nano aquarium heater

Nice little heater, heats my 5 gallon Marineland portrait aquarium. Flat and takes up no space, works great. Would recommend.

Barely works

It heated up my tank maybe 1 degree over three days. It's not worth the price, not adjustable. Overall a waste of money

If you are getting this heater, there is one very important thing you need to know: You cannot adjust it. You cannot turn it down/up. You cannot tell it to bring your aquarium to a specific temperature and keep it there. Rather, all it does is raise your aquarium temperature 2-4 degrees Fahrenheit. This means your aquarium temperature will probably change with the seasons and will NOT rest at a chosen point. Thus, you MUST get a thermometer when you buy this heater. You have to know what is going on in your tank at all times with something as unpredictable as this. That said, it keeps my temperature at an appropriate 76-80 degrees (for my betta). However, this is only because my house is painfully hot. Not sure why my parents like the temperature so high, but it works for my betta. For most other people, this heater will not be strong enough. I personally haven't had any problems with it, other than the deep, unabating desire to adjust it.

Too hot for nano

Bought this for my 5 gallon tank after my other heater wore out. Per recommendation of the manufacturer, bought the 15w. My tank overheated during the night and I woke up to 95 degree water and all my Ember Tetras were dead, floating at the top. Good company and a faulty heater so did not give zero stars, but do get the smaller 7w for a 5 gal tank.. Sad.
