can the 50 watt be safely used in a 3 gallon fish tank?
Answer by ChewyMar 21, 2019
The 50 watt can be used in 3 gallon tanks and tanks up to 20-gallons. To ensure it will fit, compare the dimensions of your tank to the measurements of the heater which are 1.375 x 1.375 x 8.75 inches.

can I use two 50watt heater in my 20g tank?
Answer by ChewyApr 03, 2021
The 50w heater is rated for tanks up to 20 gallons. If you choose to use (2) 50w heaters or even a 100w heater, there wouldn’t be any issue. Just be sure when using 2 heaters, have them on opposite ends of eachother, not close together.

not for big tanks

I had to buy a second heater for my 55 gallon tank because it didn’t adequately heat. I’m sure if would be ok for small tanks though.

Great heater

Best heater I’ve ever used and I’ve tried many! Use the 50 watt for a 20 gallon long Betta tank. Keeps water at perfect 79 degrees.

only worked for two days

This is by far the worst heater I have ever invested in. I placed it in a 75 gallon saltwater aquarium two days ago checked this morning and it is completely full of water and has put toxic chemicals inside of my salt water tank killing all fish. Do not buy!!

Broke in under 2 months

I recently noticed that my tank is no longer warm and fish started to die off. Finally realized the heater was not working anymore and I bought it less than 2 months ago.

Absolute Garbage

I have several older Aqueon heaters that have been heating tanks for years, but this model didn't even last 6 months.

Don’t waste your money!

I bought 2 of these last month and they are both already dead! They were kept at 78 in 39gal breeder tanks so it’s not like they were over worked at all. Soooo disappointed!!

Does not last

Horrible! I had the exact same one which lasted 3 yrs. This one 4 months. They are useless as the bulbs that die within a month that run $35. What happened to quality control and standing by a product?!

Very disappointed

I opened the box, put this heater in my tank, and the next day it was full of brown stuff and water. Very clearly leaked and now it's ruined. My tank water is cold and all my snails are closed.
