    Nice Size, Very Strong

By JaqR on Aug 20, 2018

I bought this for a 5 gallon betta tank. The size of this filter is absolutely perfect for a nano tank like that. The flow, however, is very strong, even on the lowest setting. It's easily fixed by pointing the output toward the tank wall, though.

    Filter tab

By Animallover on Jun 7, 2018

The tab on the filter broke off. With one pull. So now how do I get the filter out?

  • Aquarium filter

Bought 2 of these to replace original equipment filters that just didn't cut it. We've had these for a couple of weeks now, and they are an improvement over the original ones. They are a little noisy compared to the others, but are a stronger model so that is expected. We have them submerged to help cut down the noise. The adjustable flow nozzle is a nice feature. It really pushes a lot of water. I may update after I have to change the filter cartridge system in a couple more weeks. But we like them so far.

  • Good Filter

It's not exactly quiet if the spout is even slightly above the water, however it filters the water well. I use it for my 10 gallon fish tank that had a Betta and two ghost shrimp. Generally Bettas don't like strong currents because they can't swim through them with ease, but if you point it into a corner or along the side of the tank they don't seem to mind too much. All in all not a bad filter at all.
