With the Aqueon Siphon Vacuum Extender Aquarium Gravel Cleaner, performing quick water changes is super easy. The self-priming intake tube efficiently separates debris from gravel for convenient cleaning. A simple up and down motion of the intake tube quickly primes the hose to start water flow. Just the right amount of suction is applied to lift and agitate the gravel. Debris is effectively separated, pulled away with the flowing water and disposed of while the gravel falls back down to the aquarium floor. Changing the water and removing debris from gravel is part of necessary maintenance for a healthy and balanced aquarium.
Key Benefits- Self-priming—simply use an up and down motion to start water flow.

Don't waste your money!
By Carolin on Jul 22, 2019
This is way too small to work properly. All it does is gets clogged up with gravel. I shouldn't have tried to save money, I should have listened to the reviews. Now I'm stuck buying another one. A larger one!

Smaller than expected
By FishyFriend on May 31, 2019
Nothing against this guy, as it works well, just found it was a little smaller than I expected. Probably just my fault for not reading the description better. Otherwise, a pretty decent siphon for the price.

Don't Waste Your Money
By KrissyPoo on Jun 17, 2018
Overly strong for a small syphon. Wanted this for my delicate 10 gallon so I could go slow. Sucks up all the gravel- won't release and can't get water clean or the rocks. Have to constantly shake out and start back up- took me 4x longer - then gave up and threw it away. Went back to my old huge Python and was done in 5 min. This is a waste of money.

really sucks!
By michelle on Aug 4, 2017 top500Contributor
I had a bigger size and for 10 to 20 gallon tank that just got mildewy overtime. So I bought this one. This one not only sucks up all the gunk and debris at the bottom of the tank, but sucks up the gravel as well! My old siphon didn't do that, even for my smaller tanks.

Didn't work very well
By CrazyCatLady on Nov 27, 2016
My old syphon worked much better. This one was much bigger - both the hose and the syphon tube. The water ran out of the syphon so fast it was hard to get it back in the water fast enough to get the action started. It was so powerful that it sucked up gravel, fish and all! The only good thing about this syphon was the clip for the bucket. It held the hose in the bucket so I could concentrate on using the syphon without fear of getting smelly fish water in the carpet. I wish "they" would make the product narrower so it didn't pick up stuff so fast.

Not good if you have fine gravel
By Swagger on Aug 27, 2016
I have Eco-complete gravel. I can't use this product because it siphons the gravel up and out. It might work with a large gravel.

works good

This works good for my 10 gallon tank. I was surprise that the up and down action to get it started action actually works to get it started with no issues does a good job cleaning gravel as you drain water.
