    Don’t Buy This

By Boone on Jan 19, 2021

This is just ergonomically incorrect. Whoever designed this didn’t think it through or test it obviously. There’s no where to connect the bottom of it to prevent it from moving so when your dog tries to come through the top, the bottom comes up. We were constantly readjusting the whole thing. Finally took it out of the car and it’s been laying in the garage for months.

    Just what I needed

By Kris on Sep 28, 2020

I ordered two of these for my minivan - one for the front seats, and one to separate the middle row from the back, in order to keep two dogs separated when we travel to pick up a new adoptee. Our intention is to drape a blanket over the middle row seats, including the barrier, to also block their view of each other. Our current Dane hasn't challenged the barrier, so I can't speak to how it will hold up, though I have confidence that, given the snug fit, and his nature, it should be fine. The barriers were easy to install in both locations, and so far, have remained nicely in place. Had potential but didn't do the job

By Kandis on Sep 14, 2020

I gave this only two stars because it was not suitable for my use, and it was a bit flimsy. However, if it had fit securely it likely would have done the job, to keep my 86 pound boy out of the front seat. In our old van he called shotgun always, and we relented. We just bought a new Dodge Pacifica (Van), which he will not be permitted in the front seat. This just didn't get it. Make sure you understand the set up and fit before buying.

It worked so well we bought a second one for our other car

By Jenn on Jun 21, 2020

We have an enthusiastic dog who has one goal in life: to ride in the front seat. We've tried a seatbelt! He chewed it and then he chewed the car's seatbelt for good measure. A crate for him won’t work in our cars. But with this, he has met his match. No chewing, just laying down and being a good boy. It worked so well that we bought a second one for our other car!

    Suits my needs

    By hs00 on Jan 24, 2020

Tried a much more expensive barrier first that did not work in my Grand Cherokee Jeep. This keeps my 60 lb lab in back seat. She can still put her head on my shoulder to say hello and feel like she's part of the action. It's not very stable at bottom, so can sometimes be pushed aside. But works great for my needs.

    Perfect for Chevy Equinox

By RidgeMama on Nov 21, 2019

If your front seats are not far apart, this device will fill the gap. Best if your center console lines up w/ seat backs & doesn’t poke too far into back seat. Works nicely in my Equinox without a bunch of extra straps and buckles like what I used before. My 90lb ridgeback can get over it if alone while parked, but while riding he’s safe. Nothing to break or create sharp pieces on it. Better air flow than other barriers.

    Doesn't Work for Agile Dogs

By Melissa on Oct 28, 2019

I bought this car barrier to keep my vizsla out of the front seat of my Subaru Impreza. The barrier seems fairly well made and sturdy, but it did not go high enough, nor could I get it to strap securely enough to the seats, and unfortunately my vizsla just hops over or pushes it out of the way and wedges her way through :/ I believe it would work for dogs that are less determined and/or less athletic, but it is not large enough to adequately fill the entire space between my front seats, leaving a vizsla-sized hole that she hopped right through.

    works great!

By missy on Dec 14, 2019

We debated which barrier we were going to get for our dog who is incredibly strong. We chose this one and I'm so glad we did! She doesn't even attempt to climb over it.

Not strong enough to hold an English Bulldog. She pulls it right down. Needs better griping system.
