I have two 25 lb. fur babies - ages 2 and 9 - and our vet constantly remarks on their great dental care, especially the 9 year old. We’ve tried so many things over the past many years of pets. I did have a large 85 lb. mixed breed who loved his teeth brushed daily - a rarity. I’ve tried so many dental treats and my dogs disliked most until I began using Ark. I learned to break it up with giving them one every other day and in between days giving them a healthy chewing treat that gives them collagen, chondriton etc. They are aggressive chewers so they are happy and so am I.
I have been using these since my 11 year old mini aussie was about 3 years old. She's had her teeth cleaned at 5 years of age and so far the vet has given her a clean bill of "tooth" health. Also my 6 year mini aussie hasn't had to have her teeth cleaned yet and hopefully my 1 year old mini aussie will follow in her older siblings foot steps. AND a bonus... they prefer these over their treats!!! Would I recommend this product... FOR SURE!!!!!
Used these for years but the product has gotten to be hard as a rock. My dogs keep getting sick / I think it’s because they are having trouble digesting them. Too bad. Used to good.
I’m overall happy with this product. My dog likes them more than other dental chews we’ve tried and his breath definitely stays fresher. My complaint would be though that the bags don’t indicate how many are in them, instead it goes by the “ounces” and states “number varies” and if you want to guarantee you have enough until your next “auto ship”, you’re forced to buy the box of 60 or buy 2 bags of mystery amount and hope you get enough and these chews are not cheap.
My boy loves loves loves these. My checking account hates these. Very expensive like all doggie dental products. Very Expensive.
Our dogs get them every morning as a treat after they eat their breakfast. They love them!
My dog loves these! He looks forward to getting one after his last walk of the night every day. I'm trying to be better about brushing his teeth, but even with only doing it every so often he gets compliments on how white his teeth are. Be warned it does turn their poop a little green, but worth it to me to avoid all the additives in other dental treats. My guy is only 21 pounds so I give him 1 medium treat each day instead of 2 small ones.
It is their morning treat and you’d better not forget it!
A friend of mine told me about these. She said it takes her dog longer to eat compared to greenies and that it actually helped with her dogs teeth. My dogs love these and my dog that usually inhaled greenies takes a little longer to get through these. Only downside is you cannot break it in half like a greenies. I haven’t checked to see if they come in different sizes. I still recommend.
We try hard to protect our Westies' teeth, but they would spit out any dental chew. Not these! Sparky and Buster actually like the Naturals Brushless Toothpaste and eat them every morning. They have shiny teeth and fresh breath.
