1. DON'T follow the recommended measurements. I added what the bottle recommended to my dogs water bowl, first it had foamed up like I put soap in it, second my dog smelt the water, made a face, tasted it, and made what sounded like a gag sound. I dumped the water out.. Waited a few days and tried again.
2. Once I tweaked the amount. Bowl 11 cups, added 3 cap fulls, he drinks it no problems, and he doesn't seem to taste it.
3. I brush my dogs teeth EVERY night, give him a breath treat, and add this to is water. I HAVE seen improvements in his breath and the tarter build up. But can't exactly say which of the three is helping.
White teeth again

My 5 year old collies teeth were getting black and nasty.
A Vet had even said she needs her teeth cleaned. There is a very long wait to get an appointment for cleaning, and I admit it I'm cheap, if there is another way that doesn't cost as much I'm taking it. I tried the gel, the toothbrush and special toothpaste, neither any fun for her. Then I picked up a bottle of this and added it to her 5 gallon outside water bucket. It worked wonders, I now add a new bottle each month, and she no longer needs her teeth cleaned!

I've been using this in my dog's water and it has truly helped. While dog sitting for my sister's dog I noticed his bad breath and started using it in his bowl. Within 1 week his breath was so much better. I don't use the full amount in directions only half the amount and it seems they don't have any problems. So far, I have to say this has made a noticeable difference. We will see how the dental exam and cleaning goes after a month!
I think it works

We have been using this since about a month after we got our dog and he has BEAUTIFUL teeth. Now, to be fair, he is a chewer and he has a teeth cleaning enzyme coated chew every day as well, so i can't guarantee which is doing it, but I am going to continue both because it means I don't have to stress him out trying to brush his teeth. Definitely recommend. Easy to use and he drinks it just fine.

I would definitely recommend this product. I have used other water additives that were ok but I can see a big difference in my dogs teeth and I'm very happy with the results.

We have tried other water additives with our dog before, but nothing will compare to the Arm & Hammer Dental! It truly is odorless and flavorless. Our dog suspects nothing out of the ordinary with her water. I love having something easy to use to help keep her teeth clean!

My biggest problem with this product is the dosage. It says one capful (5ml) for every 8 oz. of water. I’m assuming it meant fluid ounce here, which means for a 32 oz. bowl, I need 4 capfuls of this. That is a lot compared to the other products I’ve tried, which is usually only 1/4 of the amount (1 capful per 32 oz or liter). Maybe the larger dose help it work better? But my dog started vomiting after I started using this product according to the dosage. It’s little piles of what looks like white foam on top. I can’t say for sure if this product is the culprit, but I highly suspect the baking soda and large dosage have something to do with this. I always believe in the arm & hammer ban, so when start using this it help me out in getting back part of her mouth where she chews. And Chewy saves me over 80% of what it cost in the stores for the larger size
no taste, no odor

My very picky little dog drinks her water with this added. I've tried adding other things (i.e. vitamins) to her water, and it goes to waste. I hope this works, as she has very small teeth which are very difficult to reach. My last dog had very poor teeth, and I'd like to help this dog with a better life experience.
Dogs wouldn’t drink

Tried using this in my dogs water over three days. Both dogs refused to drink the water.
