    Toothpaste

My dogs did not like the toothpaste; one of them started foaming from the mouth and threw up.

Good idea, toothpaste not appealing to dog

    By on

The toothpaste has an extremely strong mint smell, not chicken flavored as described. My dog is not interested in it. The toothbrush itself is good but the finger brush seems only suitable for a very large dog. Way too big to get under the lips/gums of a small or medium dog. With the use of treats, my dog is starting to get comfortable with brushing. Would purchase a different toothpaste to use with the brush.

    Yucky taste

My pug loves the toothbrush but anytime I put this toothpaste on it, he spits it out and all but runs away.

    My dog actually liked it!

    By on

I bought this because I hadn't yet tackled my dogs dental hygiene. I knew that she wouldn't love having her teeth brushed but this stuff must have been good enough that it didn't bother her too much! I could tell the difference almost immediately and her breath smells much better!

    Very pleased !

    By on

I'm a fairly new customer and so far I am very pleased with Chewy.com. I love the variety of products. Love the quick shipping right to my door. Very convenient and so glad I will never have to go to the pet store to lug litter and bags around any longer.

    Easy to use

Queenie doesn't mind me brushing her teeth with this. Used to get it at PetSmart, it's cheaper at chewy and you get more in the package, like the tooth brush and finger brush.

    Great Tools

    By on

My pup is beginning to love getting his teeth brushed! The finger brush works ok on its own but doesn’t protect my finger very much when he chomps his back teeth down. PRO TIP THOUGH: I’ve discovered that putting a teeny bit of toothpaste on the finger brush and keeping him occupied/distracted with it at his front teeth allows me to use the toothbrush on his back teeth with quite a bit more ease! I think he’s actually enjoying it now, whereas (before the distraction trick) he thought it was a fun game to try to bite down as much as he could on the bristles and/or my fingers. So far it has helped his breath!

    Works at First Try...

    By on

My daughter had no problem when she tried it the first time...Well, my pup chews almost everything ( my tennis shoes (she swallowed the whole shoelace), wooden ruler, and phone charger (swallowed half of the cable) was her last victims)...My pup likes being brushed...No resistance.

Now I know why they anesthetize animals to clean their teeth!

    By on

I try to clean my 4 year old Golden Retriever's teeth with this product. If I could get her to sit still long enough to actually get the toothpaste on her teeth it would probably work great. Mostly I try wrestling moves to hold her still while my husband watches us and laughs hysterically!
