does this fill from the top
Answer by ChewyMar 13, 2020
This waterer does not fill from the top. To fill the waterer, remove bottle from bowl and fill with water. Place bowl on top of bottle like a lid then flip it so the bowl is on the bottom and the water will start flowing into the bowl. As the pet drinks, water slowly flows into the bowl until it is empty and ready to be refilled again.

How wide is it? It needs to fit a gap in the counter next to an appliance.
Answer by ChewyJul 17, 2019
The 1.5 gallon measures at 12.9 x 8.6 x 10.9 inches. The 3 gallon measures at 16.2 x 10.7 x 15 inches.

What is the diameter of the fill hole?
Answer by ChewyJul 31, 2022
The 1.5 gallon waterer has a hole diameter of 2.25 inches. The 3 gallon has a diameter of 3 inches.

Is this dishwasher safe?
Answer by ChewyNov 14, 2019

Cap Issues

This item would be great if the cap would last... I have bought this twice and had the exact problem with both caps

You get what you pay for

This was just okay. It dispenses water just fine but once it does you can’t remove the base to clean it without making a mess. I’ve gone through 2 caps for the jug. They crack and start to come apart after a few months of use. So now I have to try and find a replacement cap or just get rid of the whole thing.

Great for outdoor cats!

Works great for my two outdoor barn cats! Lasts about a week before I need to refill and easy enough to dump out the bowl and wipe the dirt out without disassembling the entire thing. Only giving it 4 stars because it doesn't seem like the most durable, but when kept in a low traffic area, does great.

Lid Leaks Like Crazy

You can't just take off the water reservoir when the base gets dirty, because the reservoir leaks. By the same token, you can't just turn the reservoir over on top of the base - again, because the lid leaks. A lot. I bought 2 of these, both have this problem. The "leak seal" on the screw-on lid is a flat disk of plastic fitting on flat plastic. No grooves, no nothing. And it leaks. A LOT! I was trying to use these gravity waterers inside. Nope. Not working well at all. They get water all over the floor. Only way to move these is to pick up the entire thing, base and all, and attempt to move to the sink without spilling. NOT an easy task. I hate to have wasted this money, so I'm going to try using them outside. It doesn't matter as much if they leak outside when I'm trying to refill them. Not purchasing another Arm & Hammer waterer again. VERY poorly made.

Our Doberman, Roscoe, is secretly a camel in disguise, I think. As fast as we could fill the traditional water bowl we had, he would leave it dry. Our poor Corgi never had the chance to get water! But this jug is an absolutely lifesaver. Both dogs love the bubbles in the jug as the water fills down into the bowl and we don’t have to keep refilling a dish 100 times a day! Thank you, Chewy!

Works Well

I like that this gravity waterer doesn’t require you to lock it on with a turn, it just slips into place!

Poor purchase

This is not worth the money. By the time I turn the waterer over, I have water all over the floor.

It's perfect!

Love this product! It holds enough water for my dog and two cats to share without it being a mess. When it fills it does not reach the very top. This leaves room for my dogs very big head and sloppy drinking without making a mess. Also keeps just enough water to keep it fresh. Just set up yesterday and already satisfied. Will be buying another one to keep in another room.
