I can't recommend this mat, because it does not sit flat on the floor. As you see in the product picture, Arm & Hammer folds the mat so that it fits into its packaging. I thought that, after a week or so, the folds in the plastic would go away, or that I could just bend it myself to make it sit flat. I was wrong, and am very disappointed (I purchased two mats, so I know this is not a flaw unique to a single mat). Although the mat does a good job of catching litter, I would recommend another mat that doesn't maintain a crumpled appearance and gaps that litter can accumulate under.
It is a fine mat for a gerbil, but much too small for my current litter box. This is my online dilemma. Not anyone’s fault but my weak fourth grade math skills.
I've found that the mat itself is made well to catch the litter off the paws after a litter box visit but the size is a bit too small for the cats to get most of the debris from their paws. I've seen one of the cats actually jump over the mat when exiting the box. Some things will never be figured out when it comes to cats.
The mat helps a lot of litter on kitten’s feet. It makes clean up a lot easier and less frequent.
I'm so happy that I purchased the Arm & Hammer kitty mat. I looks good, cleanse super fast, and eliminates a litter mess on the floor.
