Horrible cheap replacement
By Merri on Mar 29, 2021
I am horrified that this is the replacement to the lightweight clump&seal (which was an absolute miracle litter). This new litter is absolutely horrible. It is not 100% dust free, in fact it's 100% dust. I have to wear my n95 mask whenever I add litter or do any scooping. It releases a thick white mushroom cloud which coats everything in the vicinity, including me (my clothes). It tracks EVERYWHERE and does not clump very well. It may seem like it does but when you go to scoop, any clumps immediately fall apart into a 100 tiny pieces, which is utterly annoying. They need to bring back the lightweight clump&seal, it was actually 100% dust free, did not track and clumped perfectly. I have tried the regular clump&seal but I don't like that it is not unscented and also not lightweight (I've sprained my wrist several times trying to scoop that litter and usual need a chisel, it clumps too well). But I digress. This [absorbx] litter is falsely advertised and doesn't even deserve one star. I am disappointed in arm&hammer and will be looking for a new brand to buy from for now on. … more

Litter, Litter Everywhere
By DeeJay86 on Apr 2, 2021
We have used Arm & Hammer litter for a long time, so we decided to give the new formulation a try. What a disaster. The litter is so light that the cats track it out of the pan and throughout the house. Not only is there a trail across the floor through several rooms, but the places where they sleep are covered with litter. The final straw came when one of our cats left my lap after a short snooze (the cat, not me!), and I found my shirt and pants had a good coating of litter. We have since gone back to the older formulation, and once again, life is good...and litter free.

The Best Litter!!
By DixieandZoey on Mar 27, 2021
I bought a small box at a local store only because I wanted to try a small litter box upstairs in my bathroom and I didn't want to lug something heavy upstairs. This stuff has zero odor. I have been putting scoops into a trash can in the bathroom and a month later you still can't smell it. (Testing to see if it will, don't think I will be able to) I have 2 boxes downstairs and the scented litter stunk up my entire downstairs and the urine turned to mud in the box. I switched out the litter downstairs and literally within hours, the cat box smell was gone. I know this litter tracks more but what would you rather have?? I'll take having to swiffer over smelling cat boxes any day.

worst litter I’ve ever tried
By 3cats on Apr 4, 2021
Wish I hadn’t bought three of these! So many complaints. When your pour it in the litter box there’s a plume of dust that fills the air Within one day of fresh litter it smelled like there was poop on the floor. Absolutely absorbed no smell whatsoever. Cats dust prints are EVERYWHERE. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Have no clue how arm and hammer would put this product out into distribution

Lighter litter, but messier
By Solstice on Mar 10, 2021
I tried this new litter and liked it because it is lighter and easier to clean after my cat uses her box. There was no odors and less litter got scooped up with the waste. I thought it was perfect and was impressed that Arm & Hammer had been developing better cat litter. But then I started noticing Ivy (my 9 yr old cat) would scratch all the sand to one end of the box in a big pile and it spills over the box. She must feel its lightness and decided it all needed to be used to cover her use of the box. It might work better in a deeper litter box. I have a medium size litter box which worked well with Arm & Hammer's other kinds of litter like Slide and the MultiCat litter. I did not like this litter!
By DKO1 on Mar 12, 2021
I have been using Arm & Hammer Super Scoop Unscented Clay Litter for years, and only tried this kind because my local store has stopped carrying the Super Scoop, and I thought that a lighter weight litter would be an advantage. I didn't like it at all...I expected it to be 100% dust free as advertised, but it wasn't...quite the reverse. I ended up wearing the dust after I put the first little bit in the box to get my cat used to it. I prefer not to think about what would be going into my cat's mouth when he licks his paws! However, I contacted Arm & Hammer, and they stood behind their guarantee. I'm now going back to their Super Scoop clay litter and ordering from Chewy.

Horrible Litter
By SB123 on Apr 3, 2021
This litter tracks like crazy, just like sand at the beach - you can never get rid of it! Not only does the litter track, but there is also a fine powdery dust, and you will find dusty cat paw prints on any surface, floors, furniture, etc... Horrible! Arm and Hammer had a PERFECT unscented, lightweight litter and they did away with it for this!? So disappointed!!!

Box of Dust
By MarkM on Mar 11, 2021
This is literally the DUSTIEST litter out there. I was recommended this because it was supposedly dust free. No. Everything is coated in dust. I’m sorry my kitty ever had to breathe this in. Also. When we had a snow storm, I used this to coat my steps because my city ran out of salt at every store... the litters dust is still coating steps and sidewalks after 2 months of rain. And I MOPPED THE STEPS! It’s still there even as I write this review. If it won’t go away outside. Imagine that in your house. Don’t buy this. If you did, I’m sorry I didn’t write this review sooner.

Much better product!
By felinefanatic on Mar 8, 2021
I purchased the original Absorbx lightweight litter in summer of 2020. That stuff was horrible. Tracked everywhere and cats left white paw prints on everything. Since then Arm & Hammer revised their formula hence the "NEW" label with Desert Dry Minerals. This is a MUCH better product. I'm not sure if all the recent negative reviews are with this new "Desert Dry Minerals" product, but I will definitely be sticking with this winner for my 5 cats! I've used both the scented and unscented. I prefer the unscented but the scented one if very lightly scented.

TERRIBLE Cat Litter!
By Nelli on Mar 26, 2021
A one star rating is too generous for this litter. This is the absolute worst cat litter I have ever used. I have the litter box in the basement, and every time I come upstairs I have to clean off the bottom of my shoes or else I'll track it all over the house. I'm worried about what this may be doing to my cat if he is ingesting it when he cleans himself. DO NOT BUY!
