I used Arm & Hammer litter for many years, until I switched to non-clay litter and pad systems. I recently got a new cat, who made it very clear that he didn't know what to do with this weird stuff, and he wanted clay, period. So I tried several, and discovered Arm & Hammer was still the best at odor I used Arm & Hammer litter for many years, until I switched to non-clay litter and pad systems. So I tried several, and discovered Arm & Hammer was still the best at odor control, and still relatively inexpensive. As many have noted, the current clumping litters make much harder, larger clumps than when they were first introduced, but here, too, A&H is moderate. It clumps effectively without having to be scraped off the bottom of the box, & creates large clumps but not so big that they break the scoop. I'm so happy that it's still around for traditionalists like my cat. … more

Read All 74 Critical ReviewsVery Disappointed with misleading MULTICAT & EXTRA STRENGTH claim!

After waiting months for “temporarily unavailable” A&H litter that I used for a long time to become available, I was told it was no longer being manufactured. I tried this litter hoping it would be as good as the discontinued litter. Sadly disappointed! Doesn’t do the job! I tried this litter hoping it would be as good as the discontinued litter. Sadly disappointed! Doesn’t do the job! I use it for just one cat. Can’t imagine how often someone with multi cats would need to change the litter to keep odor down, probably 2-3 times a week! … more

Exactly what I was Looking For!
By Alice on Feb 26, 2021
This Litter is great so far, no dust even when I poured out the entire box(I have a large litterbox). I suppose my only 'complaint' is that they don't make a larger box, but otherwise this is doing excellently so far. There has been barely any tracking, the clumping holds together very well without sticking to my cat, and there is no perfume scent beyond the slightest scent of baking soda (which makes sense since it contains baking soda). I'm happy to have finished my quest for a good litter!

My order arrived with the box busted open and litter everywhere. I contacted chewy and the issue was resolved within 24 hours. Love this company and how they handle issues quickly.

By Cheryl on Feb 4, 2021
I normally have used Tidy Cat cat sand but since I now have dry eye; there is too much dust with that, so I decided to try Arm & Hammer. Much better.

arm n hammer

I’ve only have this for a few days and it’s already not holding up against poop odors. However I do have 6 cats so this may be fine with less cats. So far no issue with urine odors just not holding up against poop odors. I can smell is the litter.

Great Litter for Large, Fastidious Cats
By Nann on Jan 20, 2021
We have used Arm and Hammer litter for our cats for many years--because the cats like it. Even feral cats who had never seen a litter box took to using this litter immediately.

By ElegantElaine on Jan 19, 2021
This car litter is great stuff, just that the box is so heavy! With Chewy.com delivery I don’t have to carry it far to the litter box! Great convenience!

Stinky gross
By Mypets on Jan 12, 2021
It sounded promising but the clumping is gross, litter does nothing to hide odor. Will never buy again
