After I lift it out and sift it, how is it put back into the box so the litter is in it once again?
Answer by ChewyMar 03, 2019
To clean, pour the contents of the top dirty litter pan into the empty pan with the sifter tray on top. Then lift the sift tray out of the second litter pan to sift clumps out of litter. Discard clumps from the sifter tray in a trash receptacle. Place the empty sifter tray into the empty litter pan. Place litter pan with now cleaned litter on top. Add more clean litter as needed.

what is the size of the holes?
Answer by ChewyMar 18, 2019
The holes in the sifter measures approximately 10 millimeters long by 4 millimeters wide.

Where is this made?
Answer by ChewyFeb 14, 2021
This litter pan is made in the USA.

I'm guessing the 7.86 inches is the height at the back. What is the height at the front of the box, please? I'm looking for a box that has a low height in front for my old cat. Thank you.
Answer by ChewyNov 26, 2020
The height in the back is approximately 8 inches and the height in the front is approximately 6 inches.

works but not for us big cats

My dad bought 2 of these for my sister and brother and I but sadly they were too small and I had a real problem of fitting inside it and then keeping my poop and pee in the box itself. Will be donating to animal rescue. Good idea - just too small for a big boy or girl kitty.

Sifting Pan only way to go

Just adopted a cat from a shelter. She was there a long time and they recommended that I use the Feline Pine litter. I read reviews about the litter and several recommended that a sifting litter pan works best with Pine which is non clumping

Works great, but smaller than expected

Used with corn litter and helped to mitigate the dust more than our other sifter. Super easy and effective. Of course I looked at dimensions and measured, but once it came I realized the "large" was actually small for our fluffy 12-ish lb. cat. Is there a bigger size? Didn't see one.

Works Great For Pine Pellets

I've used the Van Ness box and was not pleased. The slots allowed pellets to get through and plugged up. The Arm and Hammer box nailed it on size and shape of the slots. Loose, soiled litter falls through while clean litter and the poop stays on top. Makes using pine litter more econmical. If you shake the pan, the poop migrates to the top of the litter and then you can scoop it out. Add back some litter and the cats are happy. I'm happy since the litter bill is down. Even happier when I found the pine pellets at fleet farm marketed for horses for 6.99 for a 40 lb bag. My cats are now horses.

Best box I've ever used!!

As the title says! I've used all kinds of boxes. Up to, & including, round 20 gallon tubs (with the ropes on the sides of them). When combined with the corncob litter, it makes cleanup so easy!!!

Solid buy!!

My cat's a little bit on the big side... So I was worried by a few of the reviews she'd be ... too healthy to use it? BUT. She digs it! I like that it's not HUGE because it makes sifting easier. We use pine pellets! And they don't fall through the holes! It's easier to just shove stuff around with a scoop than to SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE like I used to. Good workout though. BUT THE QUICK N'DIRTTY. Cat likes it! Great! SUPER easy to clean! Love it! I saw someone hot glued foam buffers to lift the pan up so the sawdust falls through? GENIUS. Aaaaaand yeah! If you just got one kitty who NEEDS their box cleaned multiple times a day, this is the easiest solution I've found so far. <3

Fast and Easy!!!

This littler box is great! Great price, design, and function. It takes me all of 90 seconds to scoop the cat box and get on with my day. I'm definitely buying another one. Small side note....Not the best for xl breeds like Maine coons and Norwegian forest cats. Other than that it's fantastic!
