what is easier for a very old cat, the 3 steps or the 4 steps ?
Answer by ChewyMar 26, 2018
The 4-step would be a better option for your senior cat.

How tall are the steps? I can’t figure out in the dimensions. Thank you.
Answer by ChewyApr 20, 2020
Both the 3 step and 4 step models measure 25 inches tall. The difference between the 3 step and the 4 step models, is the height difference between each step. The 3 step version has a greater difference in height between each step compared to the 4 step version. The step height of the 3-step is about 7.8 inches. The step height of the 4-step is about 5.9 inches.

Would like to know if these steps are removable......in other words..you can use two or three if you want? have an very obese cat who can climb but not too good, trying to get him to work out a bit so to speak with diet management.
Answer by ChewyDec 28, 2018
These steps are individually removable.

What is the length and width of the steps? Thanks
Answer by ChewyNov 21, 2017
The steps are 17 inches long x 9 inches wide.

Helpful for kitty arthritis

Easy to put together. It only took a few days for my elderly overweight arthritic cat to use this. It reduces her jumping straight onto hardwood floor from platform bed, she doesn’t limp as much first thing in the morning. I still put cat treats on each step occasionally, to help her remember these new steps are for her.

Great for small dogs

It's perfect for my 8lbs yorkie. It's was easy to put together the only thing I had to do was remove the company label from the last step because he's little back feet would slip on it. Winston is enjoying being able to get on and off the bed when he wants.

Cats Slowly Accepting It

If it's hard to teach a dog new tricks, try introducing a new item to 6, 7, and 14 year old cats!! I like the stairs and the cats are slowly adjusting and beginning to use it. I especially needed it for 2 cats, one overweight and one with a bum leg. They're the slowest in using it, of course. Still, I'll keep it. The stairs are sturdy and it doesn't slide.

Perfect Fit

Easy to assemble and it is perfect for my cat. She is an older cat that likes to sleep on the bed but has trouble jumping up. The size and the steps are perfect for her. She was a little apprehensive at first but a few treats on each stair got her using it herself after 24 hours.

Four Stairs So Far

Our cat is elderly and arthritic. She now has stairsteps to the bedroom window, to the bed, dining room window, and the kitchen counter in order to supervise her meal prep.

Awesome cat stairs

I needed stairs for a long RV trip I was taking with my 2 dogs and cat. These stairs were perfect. They are heavy but they double as a scratching post and were high enough for a big bed in the back of the RV. Thanks Chewy!

Nice steps but cat doesn't like them

These steps are great, well-made, sturdy. The carpet is soft! However, my senior cat won't use them. :( He looks at them, rubbed against them, but I can't get him to walk up or down them. I've tried putting a treat on each step to get him to go up so he understands that he has to climb up or down; I've tried putting him on & physically moving his legs up to the next step but he just jumps off. I'm not sure how to get him to navigate them on his own or perhaps he just doesn't like them. I can't say for sure. I would give it 5 stars but....Not sure if I want to keep them but they're assembled. Maybe give it more time.

Having fun in the bedroom

Let me start by saying my cats can be stubborn any time I buy something new. I just bought two new beds that are high of the ground. My cats are fifteen and sixteen years old. It is easy for them to get up and down from bed and even play around it running up and down. Assembly is easy and only took about 10 min. I bought one for each room. If you have older cats I recommend this.

Great Steps

These steps are easy to put together and are sturdy enough for our big guy to climb. He is getting older and slower and sometimes has trouble jumping up onto his cat condo. These steps allow him to safely climb up and play without fear of falling.

Getting Older Cats to Their Favorite Bed

We have 2 older cats that are now struggling to jump onto tall structures. Sadly, this included their favorite bed that gets lots of sunlight during the day. These stairs made it super easy for them to climb up and down. The carpeted stairs provides solid footing and is easy to vacuum! They just love it and are back to enjoying the sun beams on their
