Keep your frisky kitty engaged and happy with the ASPCA Cat Tree Scratching Post. Standing almost two-feet high, this scratching post is covered with sisal rope on the top half and carpet on the bottom, giving your cat twice the enticing textures to divulge his natural scratching instincts—and hopefully stay away from your favorite sofa. There’s also a pom pom toy dangling from the top, which adds to the fun and grabs your curious cat’s attention. But perhaps best of all, this toy supports the ASPCA, which is the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

I needed some new scratch posts for my living room and these fit the bill very nicely. I purchased two, and they look great, my kitties use them all the time plus play with the ball as well.
They love it

The only problem is that the little ball on the string lasts about a minute. Cats with claws pull it off immediately. I usually just cut it off. Don't trust string around cats.
Falls apart quickly

I purchased the ASPCA Cat Tree Scratching Post on Feb 26 and in less than one month it starting falling apart. The blue part on the bottom half has come loose is just about falling off. Don't waste your money.

My cats have not even had this for 2 weeks. The toy is gone and the carpet on the post is already peeling off. Definitely not made to withstand cats!
Not worth the money

You really do get what you pay for. This toy didn't even make it two weeks. The fuzzy ball is attached with a cheap tie that my cat broke almost instantly. My cat ripped off the covering on the bottom half as well. This toy which was a Christmas gift barely made it to New Year's. Very disappointing especially since it is an ASPCA labeled toy.
Do not buy

This product is the worst quality ever. The fabric on the base is crooked exposing the wood under neath. It looks like it was made with the cheapest materials ever and made in a hurry. Don't spend your money on it.
Falling Apart After Three Weeks

We have three cats - two are kittens. The sisal has been unwinding and the lower carpeted part is ripped off the pole. Also, the scratching post looks like a penis in real life.
Too short, Good for a kitten.

My fault, I should have used my measuring tape. It was a gift for a girlfriend's kitten, and I would like to see her reaching up higher to stretch those muscles. Now I'm debating buying a larger one, but I don't know if it will fit with her crowded furniture?
Cheap, but Functional
on Jan 25, 2019
Putting this together is super easy, but I could tell it was made of pretty cheap materials. My cat loves it, but I expect it will be destroyed within the year.

These looked very similar to some scratchers that I already have so I was expecting a similar if not better quality item because of the price. However, these fall over any time my cats scratch them because the base is too small and does not have enough weight to them. They are useless.
