For pets new to the automatic feeder. Some pets may require a special adjustment period to acclimate to their new automatic feeder. If this is your dog or cat, try:
Note: adjustment time for the pet could be as short as a day or as long as a few weeks, depending on your pet's personality. You can also introduce your pet to the feeder by placing small treats in the bowl.
If no display is showing, turn power on.
**If the clock is flashing, the unit has lost its power and current time setting, reset current time. Note: previous meal programming does not need to be reset.
If "MEALS" is flashing, this indicates the unit did not completely deliver the full amount of food programmed for the meal. Turn unit off, empty the hopper and remove the hopper from the base. Check for food jam. Reassemble unit. Turn unit on and reset current time.
If the "Low Battery" indicator light is lit: Turn unit off. Refer to "Install Batteries" in manual. Turn the unit back on and set current time. Note: Meal programming remains and does not need to be reprogrammed.

Started flashing battery needed changing, replaced batteries, lasted about a week. Changed batteries again, screen wouldn’t turn on. Flipped over removed 4 screws, lifted bottom out and found black wire disconnected from the switch. Easily clipped the stray wire back into place and it started working.
This is my second automatic feeder. My first feeder (a different brand I could no longer find) worked almost 8 years before dying. This feeder, however, stopped working shortly after the warranty ended —dead after 13 months. I used it to feed my cat two quarter cup meals a day so let’s just say this got light use. For almost $80 I expect better quality and more use out of it. I have replaced the batteries, checked it’s not jammed, reprogrammed it-everything. It just stopped working. I’ve left it out while awaiting my new automatic feeder and it randomly dispensed several portions all at once, filling the entire (very large) bowl with kibble. Luckily my cat is a grazer otherwise I’d have been cleaning up cat vomit after gorging herself on the extra kibble. Do not buy this feeder.
Was trying to get a cheaper feeder for our dog cause we don't need anything fancy but unfortunately ended up on the lower side of cheaper for what we paid. Like most things, when it works it's great! Our biggest complaint is that the low battery light does not turn on anytime except if it is in the middle of a feed cycle. This goes on long enough that it will just get jammed during a feed cycle randomly (still no light)and that's how we know to replace the batteries. It also will jam without having a low battery once every couple weeks. It does not do much to tell you it jammed, the home screen flashes but you can't see that unless you get all the way to ground floor to look at it. Since it is an auto feeder, unless you are standing near it and hear it click but not dispense, you don't know it is jamed. I will say one more thing about the jamming - it jams once per 2 weeks ish now that we switched to round regular shaped kibble. Non regular shaped kibble will jam it wayyy more often (looking at you purina one shredded blend!). Also, pretty sure it being jammed sucks battery life because we had to change the batteries 2 weeks after getting it while on the old kibble. Since switching to regular kibble I think batteries last around 3 months. We can't leave the feeder on while we are on trips because explaining all of these things to watch out for to a dog sitter is too much on top of a high maintenance dog.
It was larger than I expected. Set up was pretty easy. I filled it up and had it ready to go. Then my cat realized his food was in there. All he had to do was shake it and food came out. The pieces of his food are too small for this feeder.
In a nutshell, I am sure the electronics are good but the design is bad, bad, bad. My cat simply knocked over the top and had a feast. I'm sending it back!
This feeder worked well for almost 8 months. It started to dispense only a few pieces at the scheduled time. The only way I’m able to get food out for my cat is if I shake the machine, then the food comes out. Paid too much for this for the item to not be working properly. Don’t get it unless you have $90 to spare every 8 months.
I purchased this to feed my cat breakfast, she is very food motivated and intelligent. I don’t this particular feeder because it has a locking lid, only problem is the whole thing falls apart if you tip it over. It took my car 24 hours to figure that out; now I have it roped to the wall with a water jug on top of it to weigh it down… no clue if this will work, but I highly recommend you choose a different feeder if your cat is smart and focuses all their time on figuring out how to get into a food container.
You can schedule 3 meal times with specific amounts of food for each. I like that it is battery operated so if the power goes out you do not have to worry about your pet being without food! I use it for my cat who eats 1/2 cup of food each day.
I bought this feeder for a few reasons: 1. My cat was obese and needed to eat a set amount of her specialty food at the exact same time every day. 2. My fiancé and I decided to go on a road trip and had a free pet sitter so to make her life easier, we decided to get an automatic feeder. While you cannot adjust the amount of food the pet receives, this feeder still works perfectly for our situation!
I use this to dispense 1/2 cup of rabbit pellets daily. It works perfectly and lasts around 2 months before I need to refill it. The batteries so far have lasted over 7 months. I love that it uses batteries and not a cord because rabbits like to chew electrical cords, plus I can put it anywhere in the house; it doesn't need to be near an outlet. The low battery light has been on for over a month but it still dispenses normally! It is extremely nice to know that my pets always get fed the exact right amount exactly on time every day. It is also easy to wash the tray.
