Ingredients matter

The first 5 ingredients are: lamb broth, lamb, chicken, lamb liver and brewers rice; great first ingredients. Many foods have meat far down on the list,and we typically know what that means. My little girl tried this food after I wanted to find an alternative to another high quality but more* more* expensive food. Since she is a pup and most food is new food, I gradually increased the amount she was getting while taking note whether or not she recently had shots or other medications. (These things can impact their stool as well as new food) My little girl was a rescue so she was on antibiotics for the first month I had her, and I could not blame food for causing her issues at that time. Not for my puppy

We had hopes that this food would be a good and inexpensive alternative to the very expensive food we had been feeding our puppy. We did switch him over slowly and it seemed to go well, so I ordered a months supply. Just before receiving that supply (due to shipping delays) we realized that our puppy's diarrhea was not going to get better. He was having accidents in the middle of the night and constant diarrhea. We did see this in other reviews, but hoped we would not experience the same. I would caution anyone trying it to give it a few weeks before buying a big supply. Of course, Chewy refunded us and allowed us to donate all the food to a shelter, so it's not going to waste.
