Description

Let your feathered friend spread their wings and fly—without getting too far—with the Aviator Bird Harness and Leash. Made with a high-quality and flexible knitted strap, this harness creates a comfy and contoured fit on your friend’s body that keeps him close by without restricting movement, allowing for both comfort and safety. All materials are cut and assembled with Aviator’s unique welding process—removing loose stitches that beg to be pecked and pulled. Plus, the technique removes all rough edges that can cause irritation on your birdie’s skin, making for a smooth and cozy fit. The elastic safety leash is permanently attached, preventing inquisitive fowls from detaching their leash and flying out of sight, while the unique elastic material eliminates a sudden impact when your friend flies to the end of the leash. Best of all, the collar is designed like a comfort-fitting shirt that hugs the neck, stays on the shoulders, and lays comfortably around the edge of the crop so your bird can safely walk or fly in style.

Key Benefits
  • Safe and comfortable harness and leash that’s made to be escape-proof—prepared without buckles, clips, or loose stitches that your birdie can remove.
  • The elastic leash adjusts from chest to back as your birdie climbs and flies, and won't pull back suddenly when he reaches the end of the leash.
  • Comfort-fitting, t-shirt-like collar design feels like a cozy hug around their neck, avoids their wings, and lays so comfortably they can walk or fly as they please.
  • Efficient design has fewer pressure contact points on your feathered friend, allowing for movement and comfort.
  • Not just for feathered friends—this duo is perfect size to lead other small animals on adventures, such as rabbits, ferrets, and some reptiles.

Instructions

Please refer to instructional image

  • Expand the belt of the harness, pulling leash #1 through slide #2 to a diameter large enough so that after you slip the belt #1 and collar #3 over the bird's head, you can pull one wing through the space #4.
  • Place the bird in front of you on a stable surface. Right-handed owners face your pet to your right.
  • Orient harness assembly so the back of the harness #5 is on top and the expanded belt loop #6 is directly in the front bird.
  • Move harness assembly toward bird passing the belt loop #6 first, and the collar #3 second, over birds head until the belt is around the wings and the collar #3 rests on the neck.
  • With the collar in place around the bird's neck, pick up the left wing and pull through space #4 between belt and collar.
  • Pull the belt to the right side of the bird until it is tight against the left side. Pull the right wing through space #7.
  • Tighten belt by pulling leash #1 through slide #2. Tighten until the belt is snug around the waist leaving just enough space to insert your index finger, between the bird and belt, on medium size bird. Space is necessary for the bird to breath and for the slide to rotate from the chest to back.

  • great quality, too bad my bird is terrified

    By on

This is a great harness quality wise and price wise but it’s been months and my bird still has nothing to do with it. Not for every bird. So sad it didn’t work as I was very excited to let her explore outside safely

  • The Aviator Is My Bird's Freedom

    By on

We use this every day the weather permits. My bird gets to have a very active social life, going on vacations, to the beach, grocery shopping, concerts, etc. He has become very tame and enjoys his freedom to fly and explore (we have an additional flight line for much further flight). I am on here ordering a 4th harness because every couple years I replace mine (I take him in the ocean with me and the salt water and sun wears at the metal parts etc). I keep the old ones for backup.

  • Too hard to remove

    By on

I have a caique. He hates wearing it- ruffles his feathers and he chews at it the whole time. Worst part is it’s VERY difficult to remove the piece that goes through his head because it goes against his feathers and isn’t adjustable. I ended up having to cut it off. Waste of money

  • bird harness

Works well for our cockatoo. However, I think if your bird is a chewer this would be easy to chew through. For our bird we haven't had this problem.

  • Great buy. Well worth it

    By on

My green cheek conure did not love it. But what a great buy. Chewy made it extremely easy to make I had the correct fit for my bird. My only small issue is I'm terrified that my bird will chew through it. She nibbles and rips at it while she wears it.

This is the best harness, Doesn't get in the way of the crop and I've never had a bird get out of it, i will warn you, it takes training, even dogs need to learn to wear collars and leashes. I can take him almost anywhere!
