Avoderm is the only dry food that keeps my Scottish Terrier's skin healthy. Other foods make his skin dry and flaky, like he has severe dandruff. My dog loves Avoderm. I mix can food with the dry.

Prior to using this dog food, my doxie had pitifully dry skin. Then I bought some expensive food at the veterinarian's office. She still had dry, flaky skin. Then I tried this, both dry and canned. Voila! She has had no problem ever since and it's been several years of perfectly healthy skin.

Do your homework! Do not feed your pet food because of the price. Your pet deserves the best nutritional food, just like yourself, to fuel there body and keep them at maximum performance and health! Have you ever looked into the source of the protein in our pets foods? (shiver) It can be scary! No fears when feeding your pet AvoDerm dog food! I cannot stress enough to research your pets food and be just as critical as you would your own nutrition! Your pet will thank you for it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sobobo Great food for my picky dog
I've tried many different foods ranging from Blue Buffalo to Perina for my lab/terrier mix and she turned her nose up at every one. I don't know what made her so picky but she was getting very thin. Plus her having mega esophagus, free feeding just wasn't working. Since switching to this food, she hasn't skipped a single meal and is even excited when I go fill her bowl. Her coat is notably softer and shinier and I haven't seen any more dandruff either. I'd also like to add that the food smells pretty good too...like grapenuts cereal.

by Bobli Improved my dogs skin and hair!
Avoderm is working great for my boxer! He started with skin issues over a year ago and the vet was not helping. After trying other high end dog foods available at my local pet store, and not seeing improvement, decided to make my own. It helped for a while, but then the hair started disappearing again. I went back to the internet and after searching came across Avoderm. It was not available locally, so I had to order it. As far as what I think of Avoderm? I think the pictures speak for themselves!! Plus the food is gentle on his stomach! I will definitely be using Avoderm Natural Chicken Meal and Brown Rice Formula Adult Dry Dogfood from now on as well as ordering through Chewy.com!

by minidoxiemom No more GI issues
My Great Pyrenees has had digestive issues ever since I got him 7 months ago. After hundreds of dollars at the vet, where they could not find the problem, he was prescribed a very expensive dry food along with canned food, and 3-4 months ago I became determined to find a high-quality dog food he could tolerate. After 4-5 false starts on very high-priced no-grain foods, I found Avoderm Chicken Meal & Brown Rice kibble. The levels of protein, fat and fiber are almost identical; I transitioned him and my Mini Dachshund to the new food VERY slowly; my Pyr has now been on 100% Avoderm for a couple of weeks, and NO MORE DIARRHEA! Thank you, Avoderm.

My Jack is so picky, but of course I probably made her that way. I have been experimenting with different kinds of food for her. She is supposed to be on Urinary SO but she would not eat it and she was starving herself to death, did not look well. I am going to be honest here, I ordered some diatomatceous earth [food grade], NaturVet cranberry relief for urinary & immune support and giving her EsterC in her food. Started this a few months ago and you would not believe the difference in her. She is bright eyed, energetic, her coat is beautiful and so far with this AvoDerm and another type of food and supplements she might live a few more years. The food itself seems to be fine, it is worth a try.
